In-Ring: Moose, syX, Matt Hardy

Moose!

The Antlered One made his way to the ring to kick off the show and grabbed a mic. He said that he had a conversation with Matt Hardy earlier who told him that he hasn’t been himself lately. Moose said that Matt told him that he needs to go back to the old Moose.

(You’d think they’d have talked about last week’s murder of Jeff Hardy, but I guess Moose’s career trajectory is a close second).

Anyway, Moose said that payback’s a bitch and then declared that syX are his focus and he’s focused with a laser. It eventually became clear that Moose was mad about syX knocking out TNA wrestlers and not the murder, but Moose called them down to the ring for an ass-whuppin.’

Sawyer and Shaw aka syX wandered out to the ring and a 2-on-1 brawl broke out. Just as Moose was falling victim to the damn numbers game, Matt Hardy came down to the ring with a steel pip to run of Sawyer and Shaw. Moose and Hardy stood tall and the scene switched to backstage.

Backstage: Leon Slater, Amazing Red, Trey Miguel

Leon Slater and Amazing Red cut a promo about how they are going to beat the Nemeths tonight for the tag titles. Trey Miguel slid into frame and said that he’s going to win the TNA World Title at Desination X. Miguel said that he’d be on commentary for the tag match later if Slater thinks of anything to say.

Backstage: Darie Rae, Brian Johnson, Indi Hartwell

Back from break, Daria Rae and Brian ran into Indi Hartwell. Hartwell said that Rae had to send Shayna Baszler after her becasue she can’t do it herself. Hartwell called her miserable and a witch and Brian stepped between them to make sure that there was no physicality to get Rae suspended again.

Frankie Kazarian & Avery Styles vs. Hunter James & Alexander Lev

Kazarian has taken Styles under his wing (or comically large trophy) and would love a shot at the TNA World Tag Team Championship. Winning this match would be a good start. Mustafa Ali joined commentary because he doesn’t trust Kazarian’s intentions towards Styles.

Styles started the match against Lev and held his own with dropkicks and slams. Kaz tagged in for a bulldog and James for a tag from Lev. Styles came back in and hit him with a forearm for two. Lev caught Styles with a knee between the ropes, so he shoved him off the apron allowing James to set him up in the corner.

James and Lev worked over Styles in a tree of woe position while Kas was unable to help. James hit a back breaker on Styles and Lev flew in off the ringpost with an axe handle.

Commentary was only really interested in talking to Ali during this match, essentially recapping the last two years of Ali’s career.

Styles kept taking a beating from Lev/James until he got a hot tag to Kaz who took them out. Kaz hit James with a forearm then a legdrop on Lev. Kaz dropped a spingboard leg for a two count and then Styles grabbed a blind tag and dragged James to the corner. He went up top and hit a Spiral Tap. He made the cover on James and the ref counted to three to give Styles and Kaz the win.

Winner: Frankie Kazarian & Avery Styles via Pinfall.

After the match, Ali grabbed a mic and told Kaz that he’s not an idiot like Style’s father. Ali warned Kaz that Styles will stab him in the back, so Kaz punched him in the face about it.

Backstage: The System

Backstage, Bryan Meyers and Cedric Alexander were enjoying a little screen time until Alisha Edwards interrupted. They all agreed to let Eddie and Bear Bronson work out their issues and stay backstage for the match.

Bear Bronson vs. Eddie Edwards

Before we get into the match, I want to note that the sound mix was off on this episode of Impact and the commentary was very, very quiet. I don’t know if it was just the feed I was watching on, or if it was a mistake in the edit, but if I miss something, that’s likely why.

Anyway, The System are a group divided over, you guessed it, RESPECT. After Ricky Sosa beat Edwards at Bound for Glory, Edwards has been saying “hey, maybe the kid’s not that bad afterall.” That made Bronson accuse Edwards of going soft. That got worse when Edwards failed to help Cedric Alexander during his X-Division Contender’s Match last week. So, Bronson has challenged Edwards and the winner gets to become the leader of The System.

They started the match yelling at each other until the locked up and Bronson sent Edwards into the ropes. Edwards grabbed a headlock of his own and sent Bronson off the ropes, but Bronson came back with a shoulder and sent him to the corner for a splash.

Bronson threw Edwards across the ring with a suplex and then pummelled him in the corner. Bronson hit a back elbow, but Edwards came back with a kick and then a hurricanrana off the top turnbuckle. He hit Bronson with a high shoulder, but Bronson caight him with a drop down for a two count.

Bronson threw strikes at Edwards around the ring until Edwards threw some chops. That powered Bronson up and he dropped him with a right hand. Edwards found an opening and hit a neckbreaker on Bronson. They traded shots off the ropes until Edwards suplexed Bronson in the middle of the ring.

Edwards went up top, but Bronson shoved him to the outside. Bronson went for a chop, but Edwards dodged it and landed one of his own. Bronson responded by throwing him into the steel steps. Bronson threw Edwards back into the ring for a cover, but got a kickout at two.

Edwards picked up some steam and got Bronson up for a facebuster. Bronson for his part, threw Edwards over the top rope for a suicide dive. He put Edwards back into the ring only for Edwards to hit him with a dive of his own. They fought up the entrance ramp where Bronson hit a Black Hole Slam on the ramp.

They both struggled to get to their feet, but managed to beat the count in the nick of time. Bronson dropped the straps and they traded shots in the middle of the ring. Edwards caught Bronson with a superkick but that just made him madder and he hit Edwards with a sit out choke bomb. He went for a cover, but Edwards quickly kicked out.

They battled on the turnbuckle until Edwards landed a sunset bomb. Bronson got back up and defected a high knee. Edwards hit him with a lariat and then the Boston Knee Party. He made the cover and got the pin to win the match and maintain contol of The System.

Winner: Eddie Edwards via Pinfall.

After the match, the rest of the System came to the ring and Bronson and Edwards made nice. They shook hands and the System Civil War came to a close.

Backstage: Brian Johnson, Daria Rae, Santino Marella

Backstage, Brian was typing up an incident report about Daria Rae when she stopped him and said filing the report would make him look bad. Director of Authority Santino Marella arrived and Brian said that he was on the job. Marella patted him on the head and Rae saw an opening to pit them against each other.

Fire ‘N Flava (Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz) vs. Shotzi Blackheart & Allie

After Hogan and Allie lost the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship at Bound for Glory, Hogan got all mad and re-formed Fire N’ Flava with Tasha Steelz. They attacked Allie last week, but Blackheart arrived to make the save and set up this match tonight. Also, Rosemary is still haunting around somewhere. Just saying.

Blackheart and Steelz locked up to start the match with Blackheart piefaceing Steelz and taking her down with an armdrag. She hit a step up insiguri and then clobbered Steelz in the corner. Blackheart went off the turnbuckle, but Steelz dodged it. Blackheart sent her to the corner where Hogan grabbed a tag. That brought in Allie who screamed at her. Hogan tried to lure her in with false friendship, but Allie got the drop on her and hit her with an elbow in the corner.

Hogan drop-toe’d Allie against the ropes and Steelz held her so Hogan could use a hip attack. Hogan stomped and pounded Allie calling her soft and weak. Allie responded by spearing her and Steelz and Blackheart tagged in. Blackheart stacked Steelz and Hogan in the corner and hit them with a double dropkick.

Blackheart went for a cover, but Hogan broke it up. Hogan hit Allie off the apron with an elbow then dropkicked Blackheart. Hogan went for the cover, but Allie made the save. Allie hit a Death Valley Driver on Hogan and Blackheart and Steelz big-booted each other to leave everyone laying.

Blackheart and Allie got Hogan and Steelz in stereo tarantula holds on the ropes. Then Blackheart hit a missile dropkick on Hogan, but Steelz broke up the pin. Allit hit Steelz with a code breaker and Blackheart hit a senton from the turnbuckle on Hogan to get the pin and the victory.

Winner: Shotzi Blackheart & Allie via Pinfall.

After the match, Hogan and Steelz jumped Allie and Blackheart, stomping them in the corners and then standing tall over them.

Backstage: Mila Moore, John Skylar

Backstage, Mila Moore and John Skylar “needed to talk.” Moore said she was breaking up with Skylar because he’s a loser. She thought he’d stop being a loser, but it doesn’t seem likely. She then left and Skylar said “I love you” to himself in the mirror. Somewhere, a Taking Back Sunday song was born.

Backstage: John Skylar, KC Navarro

Back from break, Skylar was still crying in the locker room. Then the segment ended abruptly… Just like his relationship! BOOM!

Backstage: M By Elegance, Heather By Elegance, Elayna Black

M By Elegance and Heather By Elegance had a conversation in the back where M said that Heather was her best friend and said that she told her publicist that Heather should join her on the cover of her next magazine shoot. M then left and Elayna Black, who based on shadows was watching the whole exchange from about 2 feet away, stepped in to drive a wedge betwen M and Heather. Heather told her to cut it out and Black said she would beat some sense into Heather next week.

In-Ring: The Righteous, Harley Hudson, Xia Brookside

Next up, the Righteous were coming. Then they were here. After unsuccessfully trying to bring BDE into the flock, the Righteous turned to Harley Hudson and invited her to be initiated. Hudson thought it over and said “yes” so tonight she gets her flowers and by that I mean a literal crown of them.

Vincent got on the mic and said it’s funny how things turn out. Vincent asked if Hudson was ready to become Righteous and leave her old life behind. Hudson yes and Vincent asked if she was ready to bloom into something greater. Hudson went three for three and Dutch put the crown on her head, but just before he let go of it, Vincent said there was just one more thing…

He said that Hudson must say “I am Righteous for we are many.” Vincent then said that while Hudson was making up her mind, someone else already did. Then, Xia Brookside appeared behind Hudson and clocked her. Brookside became the newest member of the Righteous and Hudson was left laying. Dig what I’m saying, man?

Backstage: Matt Hardy, Moose

Backstage, Matt Hardy said that syX have crossed a line with their attempted murder of Jeff last week. Matt promised not to forgive them and then Moose stepped in and said that syX doesn’t know who they are messing with. Moose said that he was known as the most evil man in TNA and he’s coming for syX. Matt said that at Destination X, Moose and Hardy will face syX.

Next Week’s Show Card Rundown

Next Week on TNA Impact, it’s the Destination X go-home show featuring:

-Elayna Black vs Heather by Elegance

-Mustafa Ali vs Frankie Kazarian

-Moose vs Samuel Shaw

-Elijah vs Nic Nemeth

TNA Tag Team Championship Champions Challenge Match
Leon Slater & Amazing Red vs. The Nemeths (Ryan & Nic Nemeth) (c)

Leon Slater won the TNA World Title from Nic at Bound For Glory and would love to continue following in his footsteps by becoming one half of the tag team champions. Now has the opportunity to add another championship to his name. Slater partners up with TNA X-Division Champion Amazing Red, to challenge the Nemeths for the TNA World Tag Team Championships in a Champions Challenge Match. As mentioned earlier, Trey Miguel joined commentary for the match.

Red and Nic started things off with Nic sending him into the corner. Red, giving up a size advantage, targeted Nic’s arm, but Nic countered into a cover. Red kicked out at two. Red dodged a strike and tagged in Slater who went off the second rope with an Axe handle. Slater worked Nic’s arm and tagged in Ryan who kicked him in the gut.

Ryan bounced Slater’s head off the turnbuckles and tagged Nic. Slater sent Nic to the corner and punched him exactly ten times. Red tagged in and then punched Nic exactly ten time as well. He went for a cover, but Nic kicked out. Ryan tagged in and the Brothers Nemeth double teamed Red in the corner.

Then it was time for the clothesline over toe top rope and a dive spot, but when Red and Slater went for the dive, the Nemeths had rolled up the entrance ramp so they put on the brakes.

Nic rolled back in to break the count and then grabbed the belts and went to leave. Slater and Red cut them off and beat them up on the outside, sending Nic into the steps and Ryan into the barricades. Then they hit stereo Nemeth heads off the steps, sending Nic staggering into the commentary team.

Red held Nic while Slater chopped him. Red threw Ryan back into the ring as Slater chopped Nic some more on the outside. Red went for a cover in the ring, but Ryan kicked out. Ryan poked Red in the eye in order to get a tag to Nic who came in and knocked Red down.

Nic raked Red’s eye on the ropes and Red fought back until Nic took him out at the knees. Ryan tagged in for the cover but Red kicked out. He got a hot tag to Slater who came in and cleared the ring of Nemeths. He targeted Ryan and lifted him up for an airplane spin into a slam.

Slater went up top, but Nic ran over and pulled him off the turnbuckle. That gave Ryan an opening for a DDT, but Slater kicked out of the cover. Nic tagged in and went back to the eyes, bringing Slater to the Nemeth corner for some double teams.

Slater caught Ryan with a side kick and made a tag to Red. Ryan got one to Nic and Red spammed kicks taking them both out. Red hit a DDT on Nic, but couldn’t get the three count. Slater grabbed a blind tag and came in off the ropes with a crossbody on Nic. Red tagged back in for a double suplex, but Ryan saved his brother just in time, sending Slater into the ringpost.

The Nemeths hit a double slam on Red, but Red kicked out at two. Nic went for Danger X+Zone, but Red shriugged it off. Nic caught Red with a superkick and Slate came in to help, sending both Nemeths to the outside. Ryan grabbed a title belt as Slater hit Nic with a forearm off the apron.

Slater threw Nick back into the ring where Red hit him with a slam. Ryan broke up the cover, but took out the ref in the process. Slater threw Ryan out of the ring where he grabbed the belt again. Slater went off the apron and Ryan clocked him with the title.

In the ring, Red countered a superkick fro Nic into a rollup but there was no ref. Red caught Nick with a kick, but when he went for the Code Red, Ryan hit him with the belt. Nic was able to land Danger Zone just as the ref came to and that was it. 1-2-3 and the Nemths retain the tag titles.

Winner: The Nemeths via Pinfall to retain the TNA World Tag Team Championship.

After the match, Elijah came running down and swung his guitar at the Nemeths, sending them running.

Backstage: Harley Hudson, Taryn Terrell

In a post-credits scene, Harley Hudson was on the phone with her mum and wondered why it was so hard for her to make friends in TNA. Hudson said that she didn’t want to come home yet and would give it a few weeks. She hung up the phoe and then noticed a note on the wall. She picked it up and it said “Play with me” with some lipstick. Hudson peered around the corner and there was a dollhouse. Taryn Terrell then appeared and welcomed Hudson to the Dollhouse.
