Darby Allin Returns & Attacks Kevin Knight

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Summer Blockbuster 2026 show at The Andrew J Brady Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio featured Darby Allin making a surprise return.

During the show, Don Callis and TNT Champion “The Jet” Kevin Knight came out to the ring. Knight grabbed the microphone and talked about why he joined the Don Callis Family and blamed Darby Allin for not getting the job done against MJF for why he attacked him. Knight then stated that he is looking at becoming “Jet 2 Belts” and called out AEW World Champion MJF.

This led to Allin’s music playing instead and ran out from the crowd and attacked Knight in revenge for what Knight did to him at Double or Nothing. This led to other members of the Don Callis Family running out and Allin escaping through the crowd and ran out of the door to exit the building.

This was Allin’s first appearance since this past May’s Double or Nothing 2026 event.

Team Briscoe vs. Team MJF Steel Cage Match With Special Stip Announced for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Summer Blockbuster 2026 show also featured the first of two new matches announced for the card of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026.

This new match announced was a 12-Man Tag Team Steel Cage match of Team Briscoe (Mark Briscoe & 5 mystery partners) vs. Team MJF (MJF & 5 mystery partners). This match was also announced to feature the stipulation of if Briscoe’s team wins, then he gets a future shot at the AEW World Championship.

This new match was initially setup over recent weeks shows over Briscoe trying to get an AEW World title match from MJF and MJF rejecting each time. Prior to the start of Briscoe’s singles match against PAC, he was seen backstage with Tony Khan who agreed to Briscoe’s mystery proposal.

Following Briscoe’s victory, he grabbed a microphone and called out MJF demanding a shot at the title. MJF’s music played and he came out through the crowd telling Briscoe that he still refuses to give into Briscoe’s demands. MJF then talked about how he is actually the most powerful person in AEW and the thing that is the most important to have is not friends but money. This led to The Lethal Twist running out as hired guns and attacked Briscoe resulting in the rest of The Conglomeration running out to save Briscoe and cleared the ring of the Lethal Twist.

Briscoe then grabbed a microphone and informed MJF of what he said to Tony Khan backstage and revealed that it was a 12-Man Tag Team Steel Cage match involving a team of himself and five other guys and a team of MJF and five other guys for him for the main event of Forbidden Door. Briscoe also stated that Khan also agreed to the idea that if his team wins, then he gets a future shot at MJF’s title.

In a follow-up segment, Don Callis and the Don Callis Family were seen backstage only to be interrupted by MJF who asked Don Callis for five of his top guys to be on his team. Callis responded back telling MJF that he is not a pimp only to be convinced to accept MJF’s offer after being given a briefcase full of money. “The Jet” Kevin Knight stepped up to be on MJF’s team as long as he gets a shot at MJF’s World title, which MJF agreed but also told Knight that if they lose, then he can never get a shot for it as long as he is champion.
