Commentary welcomes us to the show before we head to the ring, where Tony Schiavone introduces Tommaso Ciampa. The “Psycho Killer” makes his way out as we take a look at Ciampa forcing Schiavone to state that he is better than Chris Jericho back at Collision. Tony starts to talk about what happened two weeks ago, but Tommaso cuts him off telling everyone once again that Tommaso Ciampa is better than Chris Jericho. Schiavone starts to refuse, but is threatened by Ciampa that he’ll break HIS back if he doesn’t.
Tony starts to repeat what he stated on Saturday, but Jericho makes his way out to (casually) make the save. Ciampa is having none of this, yelling to cut Jericho’s music as the crowd sings along with his theme. Tommaso asks if everyone’s happy to get the song and dance done, stating that Jericho is finally here in the flesh.
What do you have to say for yourself? The first Jericho has to say is he wants to know who he needs to talk to about fighting someone that actually has hair. The crowd’s “bald” chant is cut off by Ciampa, before Jericho apologizes and offers to start again. He introduces himself, but Tommaso says he knows who he is before referring to himself as the man who laid Jericho out a couple weeks ago.
Jericho says hello to “Tommy,” which doesn’t go over well as Ciampa says nobody calls him Tommy, not even his own mother. Jericho replies to this by talking about “Tommy’s mommy,” before running him down with a series of insults while running down the reasons Ciampa hates him so much.
Ciampa talks about Jericho joking around too much, but Jericho insists he doesn’t think it’s all that funny. He talks about what Ciampa did to him, and how he needs to “get the stick out of your a–…Tommy.” This riles Ciampa up before the two come to blows, but security comes down to break it up. They bring Jericho away from the ring but he gets past them, charging at Ciampa to get some more shots in. Officials finally manage to defuse the situation as commentary turns their attention to what’s coming up later tonight, including the recent development that Maya World is filling in for an injured Sareee to take on Skye Blue later tonight.
Backstage: Don Callis, Kevin Knight, Andrade El Idolo

We head backstage, where Renee tries to talk to Kevin Knight and Don Callis about what happened last week. Callis hypes up the Jet calling out MJF after resolving his issues with Speedball. Andrade El Idolo cuts in, telling the newest member of the Don Callis Family to get in the back of the line as he’s ready for HIS shot at the World Title.
Knight runs Andrade down, telling him the “real champ” is here before walking off. Don assures El Idolo he will get his title shot before heading out, and Dynamite rolls on.

Back at ringside, Jon Moxley makes his entrance from outside the venue for our opening match as he gets ready to defend his Continental Championship. Shane Taylor makes his way out alongside the rest of STP, the ref reminding them to leave ringside per the rules before getting this match between two of Ohio’s finest underway!
Shane goes to work on the champ, bringing him to the ropes before the ref calls for a break. Taylor takes Mox to the corner now, yielding a similar result before Jon lands some body shots to send the challenger back. Mox heads to the ropes, luring Taylor into a trap by sending him to the outside…and then knocking him off the apron with a dropkick before sending him to the floor with a dive!
Taylor gets back into it, landing some shots on the champ as the two take their fight to the timekeeper area…where Shane drops Mox through the table as we go to ad break.
Back from break, we see Taylor landing a leg drop on the apron before using the cover to try and choke Mox out. He eventually brings Jon back into the ring and heads to the corner, waiting for Moxley to get to his feet for a corner lariat. The champ slowly gets to his feet, and catches Shane with a slap to the face sending the challenger to the corner. Taylor and Mox trade strikes until the champ goes for a running boot, only to be blocked by Shane…and he follows up with a lariat forcing the challenger to the canvas.
He brings Taylor to the corner for some mounted punches before digging his fingers into the back, but Taylor fights him off with a headbutt sending him back to the mat. Taylor sees an opportunity and lands a big splash, but it only gets two as we get the announcement that ten minutes remain.
Taylor stays on top of this by cinching in a chinlock on the champ, but Mox fights to his feet before breaking away. This leads to both men trading strikes until Mox drops to a knee. He gets back up, landing a few more shots to take control for a two count…before transitioning into a cross arm breaker!
Taylor breaks free before the hold is clenched in, and fires off some hard fists on the head of the champ before the ref intervenes. This allows Mox to regain control, taking Shane to the mat for a stomp before cinching in a bulldog choke for the win.
Winner: Jon Moxley via Submission to retain the AEW Continental Championship.
Mox is handed his title and starts to celebrate, but Taylor is not taking this loss well as he blindsides the champ post-match. He is handed a belt to whip Mox with, before Daniel Garcia comes out for the save. He gets jumped by The Infantry as Marina tries to offer assistance, only to be laid out by Trish Adora. STP retreat and regroup on the stage, enjoying the damage they’ve done.

Back at ringside, Don Callis and Kevin Knight come out to boos from the crowd. Callis introduces the newest member of the Family in The Jet, who thanks him for making Knight feel so welcome in a weird city like Cincinnati, Ohio. He runs down Speedball before talking about being the face of TNT, as the crowd chants “f–k Don Callis.”
Knight gets a laugh at this before talking about Callis considering him the number one asset and recruiting him with a big signing bonus. He then calls out MJF to get out here, as he looks to become Jet 2 Belts…but out comes Darby Allin instead, who blindsides Knight with a skateboard to the back!
He takes the microphone, saying he hopes New York was worth it before looking to do more damage…only to retreat as the rest of the Family comes running out. Commentary talks about what just happened before looking ahead to our other matches tonight, including PAC taking on Mark Briscoe up next!

We come back to find Mark Briscoe talking to Tony Khan backstage, with the AEW President saying it’s a “good plan” before calling for Briscoe’s music to play. With that we head to ringside, where Briscoe makes his entrance to a big pop from the crowd. Out next is PAC, making his way through the crowd before heading to the ring to get this match underway!
The two trade offense back and forth, with Briscoe taking control before PAC turns things around. PAC gets sent to the canvas but bounces back up, sending Mark to the ropes but to no avail. They shove each other before Briscoe is sent to the corner, where he fires back with some chops before sending PAC to the outside for a low dropkick. He leaves the ring for a body slam on PAC before going back on the apron for a Cactus Jack elbow.
Briscoe continues the attack, bringing PAC to a nearby chair…but PAC dodges a charge from Mark at the last second, forcing the former ROH World Champion to collide with it as we go to ad break!
Both men are back in the ring now, trading strikes before PAC sends Briscoe to the ropes for a shoulder tackle. Mark is back up, catching PAC in the corner for an exploder before propping him up on the turnbuckle. He pulls PAC down with a cross arm Iconoclasm for the cover, but only gets a nearfall. He follows up with a brainbuster before going up top, but PAC evades a possible Froggy Bow by escaping to the apron.
Mark follows him but gets hung up on the top rope by PAC, who follows up with a pump kick. They trade strikes again before Briscoe lands a big boot, but as he hits the ropes he is caught with a release German suplex by PAC. Briscoe responds by breaking free of a suplex attempt, bringing PAC to the ropes before landing a suplex of his own…that sends both men over the top rope and crashing to the floor!
Briscoe is the first back to his feet, getting the drop on PAC before bringing him back into the ring for a Froggy Bow…landing on the knees of PAC instead! PAC goes up top but Briscoe dodges him, only to be sent crashing into the corner with a belly-to-belly suplex by PAC. He goes up top and launches himself for a Black Arrow…onto the knees of Briscoe! Mark lands a Jay Driller to pick up the win.
Winner: Mark Briscoe via Pinfall.
Mark gets a microphone after the match, calling out MJF since the champ decided to keep ducking him. Briscoe says he has a “direct path” to a title shot, telling MJF to get out here. MJF’s music hits, and…we go to commercial? (What is this, WWE? lol)

If @SussexCoChicken's team can beat @The_MJF's team, Briscoe gets a guaranteed title shot!
Watch #AEWDynamite LIVE on TBS & HBO Max pic.twitter.com/bXmBaVcFWd
Back at ringside, we hear from MJF…who comes through the crowd toward the ring, insisting we’re on the champ’s time. He says that no one is above or more important than the champ here, and the final word on Briscoe getting a title shot is no. They say a rising tide raises all ships, and whether people like it or not MJF is the rising tide of this company. These people should be thanking MJF for protecting the title from guys like Mark Briscoe. Mark brags about being with the Conglomeration but friends mean nothing…claiming that money talks.
We get a twist of the Lethal variety as we find out what this means, with Jay Lethal and his proteges Blake Christian and Lee Johnson blindsiding Briscoe! Mark starts to fight back, but a Jay Driller is blocked before Lethal Twist get back into it. MJF says that “your boy Briscoe sucks” before The Conglomeration run down for the save.
Briscoe gets a mic of his own, pointing out that MJF is NOT the boss of AEW…he’s just an a–hole. He’s gonna need to find some friends or someone he can pay off, because Briscoe came to terms with Tony Khan on a main event match for Forbidden Door. Briscoe and five of his buddies will face MJF and five of his, six on six and if Briscoe’s team wins he earns a guaranteed title shot…and, like the sicko he is, Khan said that match will take place inside a steel cage!
MJF is beside himself, yelling that it ain’t gonna happen as Andrade El Idolo makes his entrance for our next match. Don Callis can be heard sneaking his way onto commentary as Andrade stares MJF down on the stage before heading to the ring, with The Conglomeration heading out as we get this match underway!

Cassidy breaks free of a hold from El Idolo, who keeps Cassidy from putting his hands in his pockets. Orange responds by zipping up the pockets of Andrade’s tights…but El Idolo is having none of it as he immediately heads to the corner to take those off for the crowd to enjoy the trunks underneath.
He goes on to dare Orange to put his hands in his pockets this time, but Cassidy surprises him and the crowd by tearing away his own jeans…to reveal a pair of jeans underneath! This seems to infuriate Andrade as Cassidy starts to put his hands in his pockets, only to be driven to the corner. He starts to fight back but is sent out of the ring as we go to ad break.
Cassidy fights back from the apron, sending Andrade into the turnbuckle to gain some breathing room. He leaps off the turnbuckle for some more damage, but Andrade quickly fights back for some vertical suplexes. A third amigo is countered into a Stundog Millionaire by Cassidy, who uses the ropes to get back to his feet.
Andrade is on the outside as Orange goes for a dive, only to be caught for a third suplex by El Idolo. Andrade takes a moment for a selfie with a fan, but this gives Cassidy the opening to get back in the ring for a dive onto El Idolo. Cassidy turns his attention to the fan at ringside, who is creeped out by Lio Rush as he takes the phone for a selfie of his own. This allows Andrade to take Cassidy out before Lio calls him over, saying “he knows.”
Andrade asks him how he knows, and this goes back and forth with an occasional “it’s fine” from the Blackheart before Cassidy goes after Andrade. This brings the fight back into the ring, where Andrade takes control sending Cassidy into the corner for a running Meteora and a two count. He brings Cassidy back to the center, but Orange counters for a nearfall of his own before landing a right hand that knocks him down…but so too is Orange Cassidy!
The ref begins a count as both men slowly get to their feet, trading strikes with Orange initially landing weak shots per usual…only to surprise El Idolo with a thrust kick! The action spills to the ropes, where Cassidy takes him over to the elevated ramp before planting Andrade with a DDT. He brings El Idolo back into the ring for another DDT and the cover…but Andrade kicks out at two!
Cassidy is back on his feet, taking off his elbow pad for an Orange Punch…but Andrade charges at him with a Dia de los Muertos! He follows up with the DM for the cover and the win.
Winner: Andrade El Idolo via Pinfall.
Andrade is presented with his IWGP Global Championship and a microphone after the match, and he has one question for the crowd…how you know? He and Callis celebrate.

Skye Blue makes her entrance for our next match as we hear from the Triangle of Madness in an inset promo. Maya World makes her way out as we hear about her younger brother passing earlier today, a tragedy she looks to fight through as she enters the ring to get this match underway!
Skye Blue takes the advantage early on, shoving Maya way with her boot before landing some hard strikes for a nearfall. Maya starts to fight back before being sent to the ropes by Skye, knocking Blue back from the corner and forcing her to take a breather on the ramp. Skye intercepts World on the ropes, landing a DDT to send Maya crashing into the ramp before we go to ad break.
Back in the ring, Blue lands a hard kick on World for a nearfall. She sends Maya to the ropes, only for Maya to counter to send Blue to the mat for a double stomp. She blocks a Maya suplex before landing a rising knee strike…but Maya answers with a bridging German suplex for a two count! She climbs the turnbuckle, but is intercepted by Skye who lands a thrust kick and a high angle Liger bomb for a nearfall of her own.
Maya manages to block a rising knee, another bridging suplex keeping Skye down for two. Rising knee strike from Maya this time, but it only gets her another nearfall as Blue kicks out. Both women are back on their feet now, trading strikes in the middle of the ring. Rolling elbow by Maya and a thrust kick by Skye, and it all comes to a head with an enziguri and release German suplex by World…only for Skye to land on her feet to land a running knee strike!
Both women are down as the ref checks on them. Blue brings Maya to her feet and hits the ropes, but Maya dodges for a roll up and a two. Skye fights back with a pair of thrust kicks, hoisting World up for a TKO and the cover…but Maya kicks out!
Maya dodges a Code Blue, and rolls up Skye with a jackknife cover for a surprise three count to pick up the win and advance!
Winner: Maya World via Pinfall.
Big pop for Maya, who celebrates out of the ring as we see an angry Skye Blue getting over what just happened.

Out first is Swerve Strickland as we hear from Renee about what this tournament means for Swerve going into tonight. Out next is Brody King, and we get a particular chant as this match gets underway!
The two trade strikes immediately, locking up and taking the fight to the outside. King knocks Strickland to the floor before landing a cannonball senton, getting back to his feet to continue the beatdown while taking Swerve to the barricade.
He props Strickland up and charges at him, but Nana slows him down long enough for Swerve to recover…and he gains control of the match as he sets King up on a chair for a Swerve Stomp! Brody is sent crashing to the floor, with Swerve looking over at the damage he’s done as we go to break.
Back in the ring, King has regained control as he sets Strickland up on the turnbuckle. Nana provides an assist and this allows Swerve to break free, looking for a powerbomb…but King holds onto the ropes, so Strickland kicks him in the midsection instead. This ends with Swerve taking the big man to the mat.
He heads to the corner for a House Call that Brody manages to narrowly evade, and the fight spills to the outside once more…where King sends Strickland crashing into the barricade! We see MJF watching on from backstage as King brings Swerve back into the ring, but he only gets a two count.
Swerve fights to his feet for a forearm strike, but is loopy as King fights back. They get to trading strikes now, with Strickland being sent to the ropes with a chop by Brody. Strickland gets back into it now, landing a few more shots before looking for a House Call…but King lays him out with a lariat instead!
Swerve slowly gets to his feet, but Brody stays on top of him with a sleeper hold. Strickland backpedals, sending King into the exposed turnbuckle to break free…and the impact on Brody’s head has him busted open! Swerve goes for a House Call, but King is seemingly unfazed…until Strickland follows up with a House Call from the top rope! He goes for the cover…and Brody narrowly kicks out!
Swerve looks for a vertebreaker, but King breaks out of it before landing a Death Valley Driver sending Strickland into the corner. He looks for a cannonball before Nana hops on the apron to stop him, only to get dropped to the floor with a sleeper hold.
Brody charges at Swerve for a cannonball in the corner, but only gets a two count. He goes for a ganso bomb but is shoved toward the ref, allowing Swerve to sneak a shot in before hoisting King up for a vertebreaker to pick up the win and advance!
Winner: Swerve Strickland via Pinfall.
We get an updated bracket reminding us that Swerve now faces Will Opsreay at Forbidden Door in the finals, as we get a replay of the finish. Swerve and Nana celebrate from the stage as Dynamite comes to a close.
