A recent episode of the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast featured WWE interviewer Cathy Kelley as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Kelley revealing that she was recently diagnosed with autism. Kelley also stated that Kevin Owens is one of her best friends in WWE and has been “super supportive” of her because he knows so much about it because of his son Owen.
“He’s been super supportive, especially since the diagnosis, because he knows so much about it through his son. He’s also a very grounded person. He’s someone I can go to for advice because he’ll be direct about it and give you an honest, thoughtful answer.”
Owens’ wife Karina recently responded on Instagram calling out Kelley for speaking about her son’s medical history publicly without getting permission from either of his parents. Karina also stated that Kelley’s comments about Owen having autism are not true.
“As someone who actively tries to stay out of drama, when it comes to my child I have to speak up. Recently @cathykelley mentioned my son in an interview. Why she would choose to talk about someone else’s childs ‘medical history’ is beyond me.
What she said isn’t true. I do my best to keep my family private. As a protective mother it really angers me when someone takes it upon themselves to talk about my children on a public platform, without my/ Kevin’s/their consent. The fact I need to come out and clear this up is so ridiculous.”
