Liv Morgan Alleged Stalker Arrest Trial Update – Morgan’s Stalker Found Not Guilty By Reason Of Insanity

As noted before, a man named Shawn Chan was arrested in June of 2025 outside of WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida over charges of him being an alleged stalker of Liv Morgan. Chan was issued federal charges related to a stalking incident at Morgan’s home, which Morgan was away from at the time. Chan had filed a notice of insanity defense this past December leading to his trial start date being delayed for a third time to a new date of June 15th.

Post Wrestling’s John Pollock and Brandon Thurston reported that the presiding judge Mary S. Scriven of the U.S. District Court in the Middle District of Florida ruled on Monday that Chan was found not guilty by reason of insanity on a charge of interstate domestic violence. Chan had been facing the possibility of up to five years in prison had he been convicted of the charge against him.

Pollock and Thurston reported that the court session lasted just over thirty minutes and Chan waived his right to a jury trial. Judge Scriven reportedly determined that the U.S. Marshal Service would coordinate with ICE to release the defendant into its custody due to Chan being a Canadian resident.

Pollock and Thurston also reported that two separate psychologists had determined that Chan was unable to appreciate the wrongfulness of his actions due to the severity of his mental disease. Clinicians reportedly stated that Chan had not been treated for mental health issues in the past and that he had not seen a doctor in more than 20 years.
