Matt Sydal Competes in First AEW Match In Almost Two Years
Saturday’s taped AEW Collision show also featured Matt Sydal competing for the first time in almost two years in AEW.
Sydal teamed up with fellow SkyFlight members Scorpio Sky & Dante Martin in a Trios match against The Lethal Twist (Jay Lethal, Blake Christian, & Lee Johnson), which was won by The Lethal Twist.

This was Sydal’s first match in AEW since May of 2024.
Nick Wayne & El Clon Qualifies for AEW International Title #1 Contender Ladder Match at AEW Redemption
Saturday’s taped AEW Collision show also featured two qualifying matches for the AEW International Championship #1 Contender Six-way Ladder match.
The first match was Nick Wayne defeating AR Fox.

Saturday’s taped AEW Collision show also featured one new match announced for the card of Redemption, which takes place on July 26 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
This new match announced was an AEW World Trios Championship match of The Lethal Twist (Jay Lethal, Blake Christian, & Lee Johnson) vs. The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, & Kyle O’Reilly) (c). It was also announced that this match will be taking place at Redemption’s Buy In pre-show.
