As noted before, Randy Orton has been absent from WWE since this past April’s WrestleMania 42 event and had denied being injured for the reason for his abscense. Besides Orton, Kevin Owens also has been absent from WWE since April of 2025 due to a neck injury and surgery.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that both Orton and Owens are currently expected to return to WWE “very soon.”
Meltzer reported that Orton could be potentially returning as early as next week.
Meltzer also speculated that Orton could end up resuming his feud with Cody Rhodes or start a new feud with CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Championship due to he was originally planned to win the title at WrestleMania 42 before back issues caused WWE to change their plans.
In regards to Owens, Meltzer reported that Owens has dropped a lot of weight since his lengthy time away from WWE due to a neck injury.
