As noted before, Rebel, real name Tanea Brooks, was diagnosed with terminal ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) this past May. AEW recently released special “Rebel Heart” merchandise with 100% of the profits going to support those affected by ALS. Rebel announced this past June that she has become an ambassador for the I AM ALS organization.
In recent weeks, AEW talents have been participating and challenging their co-workers to participate in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in support of Rebel. Britt Baker recently participated in the Ice Bucket Challenge and nominated others in AEW to do the same.
One of those who were nominated was AEW interviewer and personality Renee Paquette who recently answered the challenge.
In a video posted on Instagram, Paquette had a bucket of ice water poured over her head by her husband and AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley.
Paquette then nominated Harley Cameron, RJ City, Tony Schiavone, Paul Wight, Eddie Kingston, Willow Nightingale, and AEW World Tag Team Champions Christian Cage and Adam Copeland to take part in the challenge in support of Rebel.
