Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn is shown arriving at the Allstate Arena in a convertible and greeting fans. Zayn walks in and is met by Cody Rhodes. Zayn says Rhodes is probably thinking that his title victory is a fluke and the “golden boy” is going to easily run through him and take back his title. Rhodes says that is what he’s thinking. Gunther then attacks Rhodes from behind and hits him with a Powerbomb through a table! Gunther says Zayn is a disgrace to the championship, and he is coming after him. Gunther then kicks a car door into Rhodes’ head. Rhodes is bleeding from his ear as WWE officials check on him.
In-Ring: Seth Rollins, LA Knight, Jimmy Uso
"I MUST RISE" 👏@RealLAKnight has heard enough from Seth Rollins YEAH! pic.twitter.com/pnQdvC5FR0
— WWE (@WWE) July 7, 2026
Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring to a nice ovation. The crowd sings his song as he stands in the ring. Rollins greets Chicago and welcomes them to Monday Night Rollins. He is a visionary and a revolutionary. He is Seth “Freakin” Rollins. Rollins says he loves this building. A “CM Punk” chant picks up, and Rollins laughs. Rollins says he gets that Punk is from Chicago, and they need to get that out of their systems. Rollins couldn’t care less about Punk. Punk isn’t his business. Rollins’ business is the World Heavyweight Championship. His business is SummerSlam and getting back the title that he never lost. His business is beating the Tribal Chief. His business is beating the OTC. His business is continuing to own Roman Reigns.
An “OTC” chant picks up. Rollins gives them some bad news: Reigns isn’t here tonight. Rollins doesn’t like it either, but he’s run that play a million times. That’s just how it is. Reigns didn’t come here because he either didn’t think it did anything for him to be here, or the check wasn’t big enough. That’s just who Reigns is and always has been. From day one, Reigns has been the chosen one. Nobody wants to hold Reigns accountable. The Shield debuted as a trio. There were three of them, but it was made abundantly clear that Reigns was the chosen one. Reigns was going to be on the marquee, the big star, and in the main event of WrestleMania. It didn’t matter that Reigns couldn’t cut a promo or wrestle his way out of a wet paper bag. It was always going to be Reigns. Rollins says Chicago has always been honest with him, so he’ll be honest with them: it didn’t sit right with him. There’s a little boy in the front row. Rollins doesn’t know how old he is. The parent says he’s nine. There’s another child. Rollins was those boys. Rollins sat in these stands. All he ever wanted to do his entire life was walk down that ramp, hold the microphone, get in the ring, main-event WrestleMania, and be the biggest star in the industry.
Those were his dreams. To see them handed to someone else broke something in him. Every decision he made after that was in direct response to watching his dreams be handed off to somebody he didn’t think deserved it. When he broke up The Shield, it was to try to catch up to Roman Reigns. When he cashed in during the WrestleMania main event, that was to stay close to Reigns. That may sound petty, and it was, but he believed in his heart that if he put in the work and made the sacrifices, he could still achieve those dreams. Rollins thought he was running the same race as Reigns, but he was wrong. It occurred to him a few years back, when Reigns said something about him that changed everything. Reigns admitted the fact that he worked ten times less than Rollins and made ten times more than he did. The crowd lightly boos. Reigns said that “bullshit” with such bravado that it made him want to puke. It was never about the money for Rollins, making billions and living in a mansion. For Rollins, the reward was the work. It was the hustle. It was the grind. It was the ability to come and make something of yourself.
Reigns has to beat him at SummerSlam. Reigns needs to justify what he’s been trying to prove to himself for the last fifteen years: that he’s not a fraud. Rollins needs to beat Reigns at SummerSlam just as much because he needs to prove to himself and his younger self that, through hard work, sacrifice, and dreams, you can still achieve greatness.
LA Knight interrupts Rollins and heads to the ring. Knight says Reigns and Rollins are boring everyone to sleep with the same old trash. It’s Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns… yippee-skippy. Rollins has a great cheat code to talk about how great he is, and all of a sudden gets a title shot. Knight remembers a time when you had to win matches and a tournament to get a title shot. Knight says Rollins lost in the First Round of the King of the Ring Tournament. Kniight did as well, but he isn’t making a claim to the World Heavyweight Championship just for nostalgia’s sake. Knight mocks Rollins and Reigns, asking what they’re the greatest at. The crowd cheers for Knight and chants his name. Knight says he hasn’t been here as long as Rollins. Rollins is an iron man. Rollins has had so many title opportunities, and Knight will never catch him. When business picked up, who was at the top? It wasn’t Rollins or Reigns. Knight gives some credit to Cody Rhodes, but he also mentions that everyone was saying his name. Knight will give himself some flowers. Knight got cut off by The Bloodline and the numbers with Reigns. Then, a little while later, he comes across Seth Rollins and The Vision before getting cut off. Now, Reigns and The Bloodline are back trying to put him down, but you can’t do it. Reigns and Rollins are great at holding guys like him down. They can’t stop him. Knight will rise because he MUST rise.
Rollins smirks and asks if he’s done. An “LA Knight” chant picks up. Rollins says he doesn’t like Knight, but he respects him. Rollins respects him because he’s a shining example of everything he just described. Knight is hard work, grinding, and hustling. Rollins says Knight’s time will come, but he can’t worry about him right now. Rollins has to go to SummerSlam and get back a title that he never lost. When he gets the title back, Knight can step up to him and be the first person he puts in the dirt. Rollins’ music plays, and he walks off.
Knight shouts at Rollins before turning into a superkick from Jimmy Uso. Uso shouts at Knight before leaving the ring.

Breakker quickly comes back with a pop-up powerslam and tags Theory in. Ford knees Theory in the face and tags Dawkins in. The Street Profits hit Theory with a Blockbuster Doomsday Device. 1… 2… Breakker breaks it up.
Breakker grabs Ford and hits a belly-to-belly suplex over the top rope to the floor. Dawkins takes Breakker out with a spinning avalanche and a kick to the head. Theory attacks, but Dawkins catches him with a Silencer. Logan Paul tries to deliver some brass knuckles to Theory, but the referee catches him. Paul quickly tosses Breakker a second set of brass knuckles. Breakker puts them on, but Dawkins punches him out of the ring. Ford dives OVER the ring post and wipes out Breakker with a somersault senton! Paul gets on the apron to distract the referee, but Dawkins grabs the brass knuckles. All of a sudden, Maxxine Dupri gets in the ring and hits Dawkins with a low blow! Theory covers for the win.

Video: Oba Femi, Brock Lesnar
Video: Last week on Raw, Brock Lesnar confronted Oba Femi. Lesnar low-blowed him and delivered an F5. Femi challenged Lesnar to a match at SummerSlam, and Lesnar accepted as long as it’s a Hell in a Cell match. Femi said it’s time to finish this.

"I'll see him in HELL" 🔥@Obaofwwe is READY for Brock Lesnar at #SummerSlam! pic.twitter.com/T2mhYTEMOZ
— WWE (@WWE) July 7, 2026
Paul Heyman is already in the ring, introducing himself as the advocate for the greatest combat fighter in history, Brock Lesnar. Tonight, he’s here to talk about Oba Femi. An “Oba” chant picks up. Oba Femi came into the WWE like he owns the joint, but he doesn’t. Femi saunters down the aisle like he’s “King Schlong” until Lesnar kicks him in his “Little Femi’s.” That pain is nothing like the pain he’ll suffer inside Hell in a Cell. Heyman is cut off by an “Oba” chant. Heyman says Oba Femi has inspired Brock Lesnar and compelled The Beast to emerge. Oba Femi has motivated Brock Lesnar. Femi has made the greatest mistake of his life by accepting the challenge of Brock Lesnar. Femi isn’t coming out of Hell in a Cell. There’s no way and no how. Brock Lesnar will destroy Oba Femi inside Hell in a Cell.
Heyman goes to walk off, but he’s stopped by Oba Femi’s music. Femi gets in the ring and says Heyman talks too much. Heyman says Femi learned last week: “Talk shit, get hit.” Heyman will talk facts and state for the record. Does Femi know why Heyman is valuable? Heyman stops people from making bad mistakes. Not at WrestleMania. Femi proved to the entire world that Brock Lesnar is beatable. Then, in Italy, Brock Lesnar proved that Oba Femi is beatable, too. Now comes the trilogy match. We have to find out which one will become that unbeatable superstar. Let’s examine who is stepping into Hell in a Cell. Femi isn’t stepping into Hell in a Cell with just anybody. He’s stepping into Hell in a Cell with Brock Lesnar. An “Oba” chant fires up. Heyman says Lesnar was the UFC Heavyweight Champion of the world. Lesnar destroyed the Undertaker inside Hell in a Cell, the match he invented. Lesnar didn’t just beat Undertaker once inside Hell in a Cell. He did it twice. Femi isn’t just stepping into a cage. That cell is “The Brocktagon.” Inside the Brocktagon, Lesnar is the bringer of pain. Lesnar is the mountain Femi cannot climb. Only one man will leave SummerSlam and Hell in a Cell with that reputation intact: that he is truly the unbeatable superstar in WWE. That man isn’t a man at all. He’s a beast named Brock Lesnar. The beatable one will be Oba Femi. Heyman tosses his microphone.
Femi thinks about it as an “Oba” chant picks up. Femi says Heyman’s client, Brock Lesnar, showed up last week. After weeks of calling him out and calling him names to no avail, he finally showed up. That shows that every word Femi said got to him. That got under his skin. Lesnar can pretend he doesn’t watch the show, but the fact that he showed up proves he does. Heyman is here to do damage control, but he’s writing checks that Lesnar cannot cash. Heyman has been reduced to less than an advocate. He’s just a mouth. That’s the thing about a mouth. Mouths need to be fed, but how can you feed if you have no head? That’s why Heyman is out here talking about Lesnar’s accomplishments against Randy Couture and The Undertaker, but they’re not Femi. Heyman is scared and is doing damage control. Everyone knows when the end is near. This is the end. This is where the book closes. This is Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell. What bigger stage is there to do it on than at SummerSlam in Minnesota, in front of his friends, family, wife, and children? You have to walk through hell in order to get to heaven. Femi says, “So tell your client I’ll see him in hell.”

Jackie Redmond is backstage with Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn. The Chicago crowd boos him. She says Cody Rhodes is no longer able to compete tonight. Zayn feigns surprise and asks if that’s true. Zayn smiles broadly and disingenuously says, “That’s terrible.” A “CM Punk” chant picks up. They’ve had their differences, but Zayn says he’s a good guy. Zayn wanted to test himself against QB1. This night felt cursed from the beginning, so they can wait until SmackDown and see what the landscape looks like. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce walks over and says he promised Chicago a championship match. Pearce says he’s still defending the title in the main event. It is official. We don’t know who he’ll defend it against.

Punk teases a Helluva Kick, but Zayn intercepts him with another GTS! Zayn follows up with a Blue Thunder Bomb! 1… 2… Punk kicks out, and Zayn is stunned!
Zayn talks trash to Punk and callously slaps him in the face several times. Punk’s lip is bleeding as he gets to his feet and leans his head against Zayn’s. Punk starts punching Zayn before sending him into the corner for a high knee. Zayn shoves him off and goes for a Helluva Kick, but Punk moves. Punk hits Zayn with a Helluva Kick, followed by his GTS! 1… 2… 3! New Champion!
Winner: CM Punk via Pinfall to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion.
CM Punk looks down at the defeated Sami Zayn before popping up and taking the Undisputed WWE Championship. Punk, with his mouth bloodied, smiles at the camera and poses as the fireworks go off.
