Chelsea Green Comments on Her SVT Heart Surgery

As noted before, Chelsea Green underwent a heart procedure for SVT (supraventricular tachycardia) this past May.

A recent episode of TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast featured Green as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Green’s thoughts about her surgery this past May and her heart condition and symptoms that led to it.

“I was sitting doing a signing. I hadn’t had an energy drink; I hadn’t been drinking coffee. I was just sitting there relaxing, hanging out with the Fanatics guys, and my heart rate jumped up to 228 beats per minute at a resting state. It stayed like that for well over 10 minutes, probably just under 15. Because it was so long, we were able to get the paramedics to come and do an EKG, and that is basically how we finally were able to catch it and book emergency SVT ablation surgery.

That was my fear, is that if it started in the ring, was it ever going to stop? I cannot be in the ring in front of 10 or 20,000 people and go into tachycardia and still finish a match. The risk of death is obviously huge. When we finally caught it, I had to get surgery immediately. I think we caught it on a Saturday afternoon, and I was in surgery by Wednesday or Thursday.”

Green also gave her thoughts about how she added that she woke up during the heart procedure.

“When I finally was in surgery, or going into surgery, I think that’s when everything really hit. The process of going to get that surgery, walking in through those doors, having it explained to me, being on the table, being woken up mid-surgery for them to send you into tachycardia to then prove that the surgery they did would help you, all of that was very, very traumatic. When I came out of it, I had, like, weird PTSD of being in that surgery and being woken up while still on the table and having them still operate.”

Green also gave her thoughts about how only death could stop her from wrestling.

“At this point, I’ve broken my nose five times. I broke my collarbone, I broke my ankle, I broke my arm three times. There’s nothing that’s going to stop me from wrestling unless I was dead.”

Chad Gable Comments on His Praise of The Undertaker For His Help That “Lit A Fire Under Me” for Major Breakthrough for His WWE Career

A recent episode of the What Do You Wanna Talk About? with Cody Rhodes podcast featured Chad Gable as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Gable’s thoughts about his praise of WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker for helping him unlock a new level in his performances. Gable also gave his thoughts about his initial struggles to understand Undertaker’s teachings and expectations from him and how eventually clicked after a backstage speech for the major breakthrough moment for his character and WWE career.

“So as far as Undertaker goes, I think he gets the credit for pulling something out of me that a number of people have tried to over the years and just haven’t been able to,” said Gable. “And for whatever reason, he thought a great deal about it. And I always had these coaching figures in my life through amateur wrestling that I always looked up to as we want to please these guys because they are coaches, and you want to make them happy and deliver what they’re looking for.

And he was a guy that I think for a long time I never was giving him what he wanted, and it was frustrating the hell out of me. Like I’m a guy that needs that progress. I need to see progress, and I wasn’t getting it because he was like ‘Man, I’m not giving him what he needs.’ And then finally one day, he gave us this speech backstage, and specifically, I remember he said some things right before this big brawl I had with El Grande, another moment that everyone was watching.

He lit a fire under me, and something just clicked, and he just turned me into wrestler Greco- Roman wrestler mode for those three five minutes, whatever it was, ringside. I lost myself. I was just in the moment, like I’d never been. And when I got done with that, and things, the dust settled and cleared, I was like ‘I get it. I see what he meant. I see what he’s been talking about.’ And I looked at him and told him that afterwards. I always wanted to apologize for not understanding it up to that point because then, then it seems so easy. And once you finally get it and it clicks, man. Yeah, he had a breakthrough for me.”
