AEW National Championship
PAC vs. Andrade El Idolo (c)

Andrade is out with a trio of ladies, who display his National Title and World Title shot contract, that Excalibur reminds us can be cashed in on 7 days notice. PAC hit his bounce back German right out the gate, but Andrade popped up and hit Dia De Los Muertos off instinct and crumbled onto PAC for a near fall. Both recover, trade snazzy flipping counters, until both connect with running big boots at the same time into a double down. Each man slowly to their feet, as Andrade wants a handshake for some reason, which PAC boots him and fired off a corner uppercut. Andrade fired back with a top rope cross body for two, looked for the Three Amigos, PAC was ready, but ate a dropkick to the outside. Andrade wanted a slingshot cross body, but was punted mid-air, as PAC ran distraction on referee Aubrey, allowing Shafir to rattle off punches, kicks and an eye gouge on Andrade.

Shafir tried to charge at Andrade outside, but he side-stepped and Shafir tumbled into the front row. PAC ate a series of chops ringside, was able to cut-off Andrade climbing the ropes back inside, joined him up there, but was elbowed off, allowing Andrade to rolling Moonsault press for two. Andrade took too long teasing taking his britches off, went to charge for his corner double knees, but ate an overhead suplex from PAC, who followed with a slingshot Cutter from the apron for a near fall. Cravat applied, until both start slugging it out, an exchange Andrade wins with a flying forearm. Again, PAC robbed the fans of Andrade stripping, but couldn’t avoid the Three Amigos, as PAC was clotheslined outside and third time is a charm, Andrade’s britches come off. Commentary talked about how desperately Andrade needs tear away pants, as he hit his Tornillo to the floor. Andrade takes a selfie with a female fan, but realizes Shafir is behind her and hilariously choked her out mid-selfie. Andrade was spooked, as PAC flew off the top with a massive Moonsault.

Back inside, PAC connects with a 450 Splash flush, but only managed two. Big pump kick lands, as PAC slowly went up top, but was crotched. Both men brawl up top, as PAC hit a spinning avalanche hurricanrana, but the momentum allowed Andrade to roll through and hit Dia De Los Muertos, only PAC rolled to the floor. Andrade charged, but PAC launched him overhead into the barricade. Both just break the count, as PAC missed Black Arrow, as Andrade went for The DM, only Shafir distracted from the apron. Andrade wanted a kiss on the cheek, but ate a PAC Poison Rana instead, as he turned Andrade inside out with a charging lariat. The Brutalizer is applied, but Andrade quickly rolls back into a flash pin to steal it.

Winner: Andrade El Idolo via Pinfall to retain the AEW National Championship.

AEW World Tag Team Championship #1 Contender’s Match
Don Callis Family (Kyle Fletcher & “The Jet” Kevin Knight) vs. Darby Allin & Steven Borden

Fletcher demanded Allin tag Borden to start and gets his wish, as both lock up and quickly start trading heavy shots. Borden fought out of the heel corner, until Allin flew in with a dropkick on Knight, forcing the heels to regroup. Borden fired off a deep arm-drag on Knight, who went to the eyes to gain the advantage, but tried shoulder blocks, which Borden no-sold. Massive dropkick by Borden, as Allin tags in, really cranking a head lock. Awkward sequence saw Allin try his top rope arm-drag, they lost grip and Knight still took a flip bump. Luckily, they both got on the same page before Fletcher blindsided Allin from behind off a blind tag. Allin tried his springing arm-drag again on Fletcher, but Knight swept out the legs, Allin took a nasty bump, while Borden was launched off the apron. Fletcher positioned the stairs, as Allin tried to flip over them into a hurricanrana, but Fletcher caught and planted him with a powerbomb on the steel.

Allin remained isolated, until Fletcher turned his attention to Borden, allowing Allin to get a desperation float over Scorpion Death Drop. Allin made a tag to Borden, but referee Bryce was distracted by Knight, allowing Fletcher to launch Allin to the floor, taking a huge bump on his shoulder. Allin recovered much sooner than you’d think and dove for a hot tag to Borden, who ran wild with the crowd behind him every step of the way. That was, until he overcommitted and missed a Stinger Splash to the outside, where he was slammed into the barricade. Fletcher was flattened by an Allin Tope, but Knight launched off the commentary table with a huge lariat. Both went back to the ring, as Allin was set in the Tree of Woe, Borden saved his partner as Knight climbed up for the Coast to Coast and we get Borden & Knight on opposite sides of the ring, leaping off and colliding at the same time. The impact seemed to knock Borden out cold, as Doc Sampson rushed in the ring to tend to him, the bell sounded and the referee awarded the match to Fletcher & Knight. The camera stayed off Borden in a truly scary moment, as we saw the replay only once before the match was called.

Winner: Don Callis Family via Referee Stoppage.

Post-match, Taz did a great job covering, as he said he knows people want to see a definitive winner, but at the end of the day, it’s all about the safety of the performers. If you don’t like it, too bad, the doctor did the right thing. We’re told Borden was officially helped to the back by doctors (stretchered), though we never saw him again on camera. Hoping for the best for Borden, who had the crowd loudly behind him and was doing great in the match until the final moments.

TBS Championship Open Challenge Match
Dani Luna vs. Persephone (c)

Luna got a nice pop from the crowd and after an early opening scrap, Persephone paint brushed Luna and told her to stop it, it’s her title. This resulted in Luna waffling Persephone to a huge reaction from the fans. Both ladies trade reversals into the corner, where Luna hit an overhead suplex and sliding lariat for two. Luna used her strength to avoid a monkey flip, but Persephone took ref Aubrey, allowing Baker to knock Luna off the ropes, crashing outside. Tope Suicida connects from Persephone, as a sliding kick caught Luna back inside for a near fall, as Baker starts trash talking before choking Luna on the bottom rope. Luna battled back with a shotgun dropkick into a reset, as the crowd is loudly behind the challenger. Luna exploded out into a charging boot, but so much damage is done, she’s quick to follow-up.

Persephone fought off a back suplex, but took a rebound slingshot back suplex for a near fall for Luna. Persephone rolled to the apron, Luna was out after, but was spiked with a release German on the hardest part of the ring. Luna kicked out back inside, sending Persephone into a rag and rattled off punches in bunches. Rolling kimura from Persephone, but Luna fought back into a strike battle on their feet. Luna ducked a charge and popped Persephone with a huge lariat in the double down.

Persephone took too long going for her Lionsault, was dumped to the apron, as Luna pulled her up into a wild pull-up release German from the apron back inside for two, which baffled Taz, who’d never seen that before. Another lariat and fireman’s carry slam got a near fall, as Luna had her hair pulled by Baker, which referee Aubrey was the only person never to see it. Luna took out Baker with a Tope, but doing so, allowed Persephone to hit another Tope of her own. Briefly tending to Baker allowed Luna to try her release German again, but Baker held onto Persephone’s legs, allowing her to sneak back in and hit the Razor’s Edge for the win.

Winner: Persephone via Pinfall to retain the TBS Championship.

AEW International Championship
Tommaso Ciampa vs. Kazuchika Okada (c)

Okada pulled at the beard early, but Ciampa responded with a hair pull that led to our first stalemate. Slugfest ramps up, so Okada wanted to slow the pace, which is the exact opposite of what Ciampa allowed to happen, as he launched Okada outside and blasted him with a running knee through the ropes. Callis on commentary called it a dirty, dirty move, as Ciampa draped Okada over the Spanish announce desk and hit a running knee lift. Ciampa started jaw jacking with Callis, who cowered behind Taz and this led to Okada planting Ciampa back inside with a flapjack. Callis told Schiavone “shut up, no offense” and Schiavone said it’s starting to sound like his house, which popped the commentary crew. Okada slowing the match to his pace, connecting on a DDT and cutting off Ciampa at any comeback attempt. Okada wanted the top rope elbow, but Ciampa cut him off and bit at the head, looking for an Avalanche Psycho Driller, but Okada slid out, dropkicked out the leg and Ciampa hit eye first on the post.

Okada draped Ciampa over the barricade, looked at Ciampa’s daughter, telling Willow ‘Happy Birthday’ before dropping her father with a DDT. Okada tried to get a high five, but slowly flipped off an 8-year-old. Willow looked at her mom, got permission and gave Okada the double bird to one of the biggest pops of the night. Ciampa exploded back into the shot with a running knee, as he held up his daughter high to a “Happy Birthday” chant. Back inside, quick sequence saw Ciampa avoid a Rainmaker, hitting a trifecta of Rolling Germans. Ciampa connects with the Fairytale Ending, but Okada kicked out. Face washes connect, but Okada cut-off a charge into an Air Raid Crash neck breaker. Falling top rope elbow across the midsection, led to the Rainmaker flip off pose, but Ciampa bit at the finger, wrenching and stomping on it. Okada rolled through a release German, Ciampa kicked free from a Rainmaker and connected on Project Ciampa for an incredibly close two.

Ciampa wanted the Psycho Driller out of the corner, Okada bit free, as Callis left commentary and ran distraction on referee Rick Knox. Okada revealed a screwdriver from the cover, leapt at Ciampa to use it, but took a pump knee after take-off. Ciampa went for the running knee, but was intercepted by a German, missed a Rainmaker, as Ciampa hit a pump knee, charged, right into an Okada dropkick. Okada went for another, Ciampa baseball slid through and connects with his running knee for the closest near fall of the match, as the crowd exploded at the false finish. Okada-esque dropkick from Ciampa, who hit the Rainmaker pose, looked for the Rainmaker, ate a rolling elbow, Okada dodged a charging knee, grabbed the wrist, hit a short arm lariat, maintained wrist control, whiffed on a Rainmaker, but hit a dropkick. Ciampa didn’t go down, charged, Okada was ready for Emerald Flowsion and the Rainmaker proper for the hard-fought win in a thriller.

Winner: Kazuchika Okada via Pinfall to retain the AEW International Championship.

Post-match, Okada blew a kiss to Willow & Ciampa’s wife before celebrating up the ramp with Callis.

Ringside: Steven Borden Injury Update Announcement

Tony Schiavone relays information from Tony Khan that Steven Borden is conscious and at the hospital, the doctors are tending to him this very moment. Commentary wishes him all the best in his recovery.

AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Chicago Street Fight Match
Divine Dominion (Lena Kross & Megan Bayne) vs. The Brawling Birds (Alex Windsor & Jamie Hayter) (c)

It’s chaos from the opening bell, as we get a Malort reference from commentary that should pop the Chicago fans (it’s disgusting, don’t try it). The Birds set-up tables ringside, but the time it took to do so, allowed Dominion to gain control in the ring. The Birds thankfully avoid being double curb stomped mouth first onto the chairs, smashing Dominion onto them, as Kross had a chair placed on her, as Bayne was suplexed on top. Bayne is able to battle back, placing Windsor in the corner and chucking a chair right at her face. Running boot/Powerbomb from Bayne & Kross drove Hayter through a table ringside. Windsor came up bleeding, as Kross held her over the top, allowing Bayne to swing for the fences with a kendo stick like she’s Pete Crow-Armstrong.

Dominion goes for a Con-Chair-To, but Windsor ducks, hits a dropkick to disarm the heels, as Hayter flies in with a cross-body on both off the top. Hayter starts throwing kendo shots at every heel in her path before channeling Sandman with a White Russian Leg Sweep with the kendo stick on Kross. Bayne tries to charge with a barbed wire chair, but Hayter dropped her with a DDT onto it, doing damage to her own back in the process. Windsor brings in a trash can, places it over Kross and Hayter leaps off the top with a wild body tackle for two. Kross gets smushed with a double chair shot to the back and midsection, as we see Bayne is bleeding now as well. 4-way slugfest amps up the crowd, as all four collide with clotheslines for the reset.

Everyone takes a seat on a chair for a few seconds before they all ditch them and just start throwing bombs. Dominion chuck stereo chairs into The Birds face, as Fate’s Decent connects by Bayne for a two. Kross & Bayne missed wildly on corner charging boots and they collided with one another, leading to The Birds missing their finish and Bayne hitting a double German on both to a nice pop. Bayne goes up the ramp and brings down part of the barricade into the ring, placing it into one corner, while wedging a chair in another. Hayter starts swinging with the kendo stick, but Kross gains control, tries to suplex both Birds, who escape and dropped Kross onto the barricade. Two Birds, One Stone was cut-off by Bayne, who flew in with a lariat with her arm wrapped in a chain, as a flying boot/German on Windsor got two.

Two chairs set up, as Dominion hit a violent double chokeslam through them, but Hayter broke the count. Dominion brought a barbed wire board to the ring, propping it up in the corner. The Birds escape a double slam into them, as Kross reversed a Windsor whip into the chair wedged in the corner, as Bayne took a DVD into the barbed wire board. Kross dumped a bag of tacks into the ring, but Hayter caught her with a punch with her hand wrapped in a chain. Two Birds, One Stone connects onto the tacks (Hayter took a ton of the bump on her legs) as Windsor pinned Kross to get the win.

Winner: The Brawling Birds via Pinfall to retain the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship.

Ringside: Another Steven Borden Injury Update Announcement

Tony Schiavone gives us another update on Steven Borden, this time on microphone also to the crowd, telling us Borden is conscious, talking to doctor’s about what happened in the match and had a CAT scan.

AEW World Trios Championship
The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly (Hangman Adam Page, Bandido, & Brody King) vs. Swerve Strickland & The New Level (Kofi & Austin Creed) (c)

Quick start from Kofi & Bandido, as they end in finger-guns, but thankfully neither shoot. Top rope cross-body from Kofi, who misses a lariat, as each exchange landing on their feet off monkey flips into a stalemate resulting in a handshake. King & Creed both in and Creed has to fire himself up to be the power guy against King, who never budged on shoulder block attempts. King connects on a standing senton, sent Creed outside, as he came up the steps and Page popped him right off with a running boot. King sandwiched Creed against the barricade, as back inside, Creed backed Page into his corner and doing so, Page’s shoulder clipped Strickland in the face, pissing him off ringside with Nana trying to settle him. Creed continued to be worked over as this is going on, with Bandido hitting a slingshot senton, but right as Page hit the ropes, Strickland pulled him outside and the brawl is on with both teams calming their partner down. We didn’t see this on camera, but during the scuffle, Creed blasted Bandido with a knee back inside and that put the champions in control.

Bandido continued to the isolated, as Strickland stared daggers at Page, so King barked at them and Strickland went back to work on Bandido, hitting his corner uppercut, hitting the Griddy. Bandido remained worked over, until we get the spot he & Strickland did a few months earlier with Strickland standing on the chest of Bandido, only this time, a House Call was blocked into a Cutter. King made the hot tag and ran wild on New Level, wiping Creed out with a lariat and Kofi with a DVD on the apron. Corner cannonball squished Creed, but Strickland broke the count with an Orange Cassidy-esque foot tap. King refused to prevent Creed from tagging Strickland, instead, he tagged in Page, who threw home run shots immediately with Strickland. Each had everything the other threw scouted, until both collided with double clotheslines, no sold and we get a slugfest. Creed trips up Page outside, right in position for a Strickland Fosbury Flop. King saved his partners from taking any more damage, as Bandido gets in position and we get a Shooting Star Press/Draping Double Knee off the apron by the challengers. Kofi launched off the steps with a double stomp on Bandido, while Strickland leapt from the apron with a House Call on Page for a full reset.

Back inside, Strickland took too long to call for and miss another House Call on Page, as he & Bandido hit stereo Revolution Flies on Kofi & Strickland for two. Creed foolishly tries a strike battle with King, who no sells every chop thrown at him, so he side-steps a home run chop into multiple thrust kicks and finally gets his shoulder tackle. Fireman’s carry impressively on King, as Bandido hoists up Kofi & Strickland. King slides out, hoists Creed onto the Bandido pile and we get a one-man triple Samoan Drop. The champs roll to the outside, where Bandido meets them all with a Moonsault off the post onto the pile. 21-Plex is blocked by New Level, but Brodido hit an assisted 42-Plex on Creed & Kofi. Page & Bandido hit stereo dives, as King spiked Creed with a piledriver for a close two. New Level recover enough for Creed to somehow powerbomb King out of the corner, as Kofi tags in (Strickland with a blind tag) with a double stomp, Strickland with a 450 Splash and they all dog pile King, who kicks out all three. Defiant King signals for Strickland to end it, as he goes to do it, when Page slowly walks into his path. Kofi with a roundhouse kick, Bandido flies in with a cross-body, Creed the step-in Tornado DDT, discus lariat from King, House Call by Strickland, home run lariat by King for another full reset.

King misses a Gonzo Bomb, Kofi connects on Trouble in Paradise, but Page used Strickland’s back to hit a Buckshot on Kofi. Pop-up powerbomb plants Strickland, as Page goes for a Buckshot, Strickland pulled Creed into the shot, Strickland pops Page with a House Call, but Bandido returns to crack Strickland with X-Knee. Strickland flips out of 21-Plex into a crazy Big Pressure to get the win.

Winner: Swerve Strickland & The New Level via Pinfall to retain the AEW World Trios Championship.

AEW Women’s World Championship #1 Contender’s Match
Willow Nightingale vs. Thekla

Fast start by both, as Nightingale went for her running senton, Thekla wasn’t able to get fully out of the way and got really clipped awkwardly. Each trade a wild series of near falls, until Nightingale launched Thekla clear across the ring with a Pounce. Nightingale went up on the corner, where Thekla threw a wild overhand right, causing Nightingale to crumble outside. Double stomp to the back off the apron, allowing Thekla to mock the dance and pose of Nightingale to the camera before sending her into the barricade. Thekla targeted the broken hand of Nightingale back inside, causing a loud scream, as Thekla continued to wrench away and stomp on the hand repeatedly. Pretty impressive Matrix pose to avoid a Nightingale charge between the ropes, as Thekla opted to trash talk, allowing Nightingale to get back into it with lariats using her good arm and shotgun dropkick for two.

Nightingale shot a double leg into the Cloverleaf, as Thekla tried to bridge out, but did so into a powerbomb. Nightingale wanted a corner moonsault, Thekla rolled outside, so Nightingale re-adjusted and wiped out Thekla with a cannonball from the apron. Slight delay allowed Thekla to hit a running knee through the ropes, climbed up top and hit her cross-body to the floor. Octopus Hold from Thekla on the floor, but Nightingale drove her into the barricade, as both continue to slug it out before just narrowly breaking the count, where Nightingale avoided a Curb Stomp into the DVD for two. Double stomp to the injured hand from Thekla, who hits her Spider pose into the massive Spear, but Nightingale bridged out and we get dueling Spider poses. Thekla fires off a combo of strikes, but Nightingale bounced back off the ropes into a huge lariat for the double down.

Julia Hart ran out to run distraction, as Skye Blue ran out to clip Nightingale with the Artist of Stardom title. Referee Stephon Smith turned back to Blue to get distracted, as Hart charged in the ring, Nightingale ducked and Hart smacked Thekla with her title. Nightingale went for the Doctor Bomb, but the injured hand gave out and Thekla hit a Curb Stomp to the hand and a proper Curb Stomp for the win.

Winner: Thekla via Pinfall.

Post-match, Mercedes Mone’s music hits, she comes to the stage and raises her AEW Women’s Title high, as the match is official for WrestleDream next month.

AEW World Tag Team Championship Three-way Ladder Match
The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) vs. Cage & Cope (Christian Cage & Adam Copeland) (c)

Bell sounds and no one wastes time slugging it out, as Harwood tries to use a ladder immediately outside on Copeland, who hit a drop toe hold into the steps. Nick ducked a Wheeler chair shot into the post, as Copeland & Cage take out Matt with an assisted backbreaker/neckbreaker combo before grabbing chairs of their own. Harwood took a chair shot to the face, Cage nearly clipped his own partner before putting on the brakes and chucking it at Matt. Nick saves his brother, as The Bucks hit stereo bulldogs out of the corner on FTR onto the set-up chairs. Cage dropped Matt crotch first on the chair and clocked Nick with a shot of his own, as Cage is bleeding from the side of the head already. Matt dodged a Con-Chair-To, as he popped up his brother to take out both Copeland & Cage with a pop-up dropkick. The Bucks tried a double baseball slide on FTR, who held up a ladder and smashed it repeatedly onto them, as Copeland & Cage successfully hit a baseball slide and top rope dives onto the pile.

Ladder is set-up in the middle of the ring, as Copeland goes to climb, but Nick hits a springboard dropkick knocking him off. FTR & The Bucks scramble to climb, Harwood is bleeding now, as they all start trying to swing ladders at each other trying to climb, trapping Wheeler’s leg in the rings of the ladder, allowing an assisted Swanton by The Bucks. Copeland & Cage hang The Bucks off the ladder into the ropes, before hitting an ugly dive out of the corner with the ladder onto Nick. FTR send the tag champs crashing into a corner ladder, as Nick scales the ladder into a dive outside onto Copeland, while FTR is planted with a double Sliced Bread by Matt. Back inside, Copeland backdropped Matt onto a ladder, had a clear chance at climbing to grab the belts, but opted to go grab a super tall one. Tug-o-War with Wheeler led to a ladder bridge that had Harwood suplex Copeland off a ladder onto it, as Cage & Wheeler flew off opposing sides with Frog Splashes.

The Bucks return to take things over, as Wheeler avoided a charging Matt on the apron, as Nick backdropped him clear over the top crashing through a table. Harwood was placed on a table and Nick hit a 450 Splash off the top through it, while Matt was driven off the apron onto a table by Copeland, it didn’t break (I Am the Table). Nick & Cage fight up the ropes, where Cage managed an Avalanche Killswitch onto a ladder in a spot that didn’t do either man any favors with that landing. Cage started setting up the huge ladder, as Copeland played defense smacking anyone in his path with a chair. They forgot about Big Stoke, as he hit Copeland with a low blow and threw powder into the eyes of Cage. Stokely standing tall, as he re-positions the ladder and starts to climb, but Copeland recovers and sends poor Stokely crashing through tables on the floor. Copeland starts to climb, when FTR cut him off with a chair and hit with a Spike Piledriver on the apron. The Bucks were there to hit a Superkick Party and the Meltzer Driver off the apron onto the floor.

The Bucks position Copeland & Harwood on tables, climb the ladder on the floor and hit stereo dives, crashing through the tables, but Cage stumbled right into harms way, as Wheeler flew from the ring, through the set-up ladder and crashing through another table. With everyone down, they all start recovering at the same time and all 6-men start slowly climbing ladders back inside. Copeland ran underneath all the ladders to Spear Matt, while Nick took a Shatter Machine from the ladder. Copeland & Cage recover, trap Harwood between ladders and hit a Con-Chair-To, as Wheeler starts to climb, so they stalk him up, miss a Con-Chair-To to him, so he crotched Copeland, but Cage kicked back from the top rope to bounce back. Nick sprung off the top onto the ladder and Wheeler took and insane over the ladder to the mat bump. The Bucks both climb the ladder and hit Cage with a BTE Trigger from near the top of the ladder before grabbing and winning the titles.

Jon Moxley vs. Will Ospreay (c)

Ospreay’s opening video was played by a violinist on the ramp and an Assassins Creed Black Flag theme to go along with him winning the title in Wembley at All In. We go out to the parking lot where Speedball Mike Bailey is holding a Death Riders flag with Francesco Akira that Ospreay lit on fire. Ospreay looks at the camera and says “Let’s F*cking End This” before heading to the ring for his proper entrance. Shafir, Yuta & Garcia all had their backs turned to the ring for Ospreay’s entrance, while Moxley paced ringside.

Much slower feeling out process than you’d perhaps expect to kick things off. Each take turns firing off corner strikes, until a hurricanrana sends Moxley outside, where Ospreay meets him with a slingshot cross-body. Back inside and up in the corner, Moxley took a bit out of Ospreay and hit a DDT onto the top turnbuckle as we get a brief smirk on the face of Moxley with Ospreay coming up bleeding. Moxley drove the elbow into the forehead and licked his arm back in the ring, which got the exact chant you’d imagine it did. Moxley continues to slowly work over Ospreay, biting and wrenching at the fingers before lighting him up with punches. Ospreay tries fighting back, but Moxley is relentless, wearing Ospreay down with a cross face and Brutalizer variation. Gator Roll back towards center led to a stalling Piledriver that spiked Ospreay on his neck for two. Osperay fought off a Gotch Style Piledriver, tried his handspring corkscrew kick, which Moxley countered into a STF transitioned into a straightjacket, which Ospreay countered into one of his own briefly before ultimately hitting his handspring corkscrew kick for the reset.

Ospreay kips up, strike battle leads to Pip, Pip, Cheerio for a near fall by the champion. With wrist control, Ospreay starts ramping up the chops into a standing Sky Twister Press for two. Ospreay rattled off some Kawada Kicks, which Moxley blocked and dared Ospreay to start a slugfest, which he did. Moxley tried a Fujiwara, Ospreay countered, wanted a Styles Clash, but Moxley kicked out into a Rear Naked Choke. Ospreay broke the body scissors, Moxley ran into a thrust kick, blocked an OsCutter into a Sleeper Suplex followed by the Gotch Style Piledriver for a near fall. Moxley gives a shrug as referee Paul Turner checks the neck of Ospreay, who continues to say he’s fine. Between absorbing shots from Ospreay, Moxley lights him up with shots and folds him up with a huge lariat. Ospreay avoids a Curb Stomp by powering his way up and throwing a series of elbow strikes. Float over Liger Bomb connects for two, Ospreay holds on into the Styles Clash for another near fall. OsCutter spikes Moxley, who again kicked out.

Ospreay signals for Hidden Blade, but Shafir grabs at his boot. Bailey prevents Yuta from interfering, as the United Empire & Death Riders continuing arguing outside, until Paul Turner sticks his head through the ropes to try to gain order, but gets clocked with running boot after Moxley ducked a charging Ospreay. This allowed Yuta & Garcia to attack Bailey & Akira, while Ospreay hit Moxley with Hidden Blade and had a visible pin, but no referee. Yuta jumps in to attack Ospreay, but Akira hits a slingshot Cutter to take him out. Garcia in and it’s Akira vs. everyone until the numbers were too much for him. Bailey in to fight off the Death Riders, sending them outside and hit a Triangle Moonsault before blocking a Shafir punch, shoving her down. PAC blindsides Bailey with the briefcase we’re told is what Moxley carried around during his World Title reign a few years ago, but Andrade El Idolo appears and saves Ospreay, taking out PAC. Moxley hit a desperation Paradigm Shift, but Ospreay no sold into Hidden Blade.

Ospreay goes for another Hidden Blade, but Shafir cracks him with the briefcase before throwing Paul Turner back inside, who slowly counted two. Shafir back inside to boot Turner back to the floor, goes back to the briefcase, when Alex Windsor is bandaged up from earlier tonight, hits the ring with Jamie Hayter to take out Shafir with Two Birds, One Stone. They throw up the United Empire sign, as Yuta returned and got his ass kicked by both ladies. Hayter took out the pile of Death Riders ringside, as Windsor tried to give a pep talk to her husband before fighting alongside Hayter with Shafir to the back. Ospreay slowly crawled to the briefcase, but Moxley smashed him down onto it with a Curb Stomp. Moxley screamed at Ospreay that he gave him everything he had, don’t make me do this, as Moxley looks at the crowd, back to the briefcase and opts to ultimately waffle Ospreay right in the face with it.

Within seconds of that happening, referee Bryce Remsberg appears and makes the count, but Ospreay kicks out. Multiple Paradigm Shifts leads to a Death Rider, but Ospreay still has fight, so Moxley clamps on the Bulldog Choke. Ospreay starts fading, but the arm doesn’t go down the third time, biting the forearm of Moxley to break free. Ospreay rolls through the choke into Hidden Blade and the Storm Breaker, but Moxley is still alive. Ospreay slowly lowers the elbow pad, as Moxley turns his back to Ospreay and has a smile on his face, as he knows what’s about to come, he turns around and get his head taken off by a final Hidden Blade to give Ospreay the victory. Moxley made Ospreay a killer and ultimately accepted his fate in the process.

Winner: Will Ospreay via Pinfall to retain the AEW World Championship.

Post-match, Moxley ripped the title away from Ospreay in the corner, brought him to the middle of the ring and placed the title on Ospreay’s shoulder before they shook hands before he retreated with the Death Riders crew to close the show with Ospreay standing tall.
