Mick Foley on He Talked To Darby Allin About His Wrestling Style & Allin Was Walking ‘A Little Gingerly’ After AEW Blood & Guts

A recent fan virtual Sign-it-live signing event for Highspots featured WWE Hall of Famer and AEW personality Mick Foley as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Foley’s thoughts about him having a talk with Darby Allin about his risky wrestling style and how Allin thanked him for the feedback but said he was continuing as is with it. Foley also stated that Allin was walking “a bit gingerly” after the Men’s Blood & Guts match, which featured Allin being tossed off the cage and through several tables below.

“Well, I did (to try to talk to Darby Allin about his wrestling style). I did, and he thanked me for my feedback and told me he was going to continue — I didn’t say stop. I said, ‘You might wanna calm down.’ He’s like, ‘Well, I appreciate you talking to me, Mick. I really do.’ So somebody asked, ‘I heard you were gonna talk to Darby?’ I did, and he’s gonna keep doing what he does.

I will tell you, he was walking very — a little gingerly last night.”

Allin had teamed up with Will Ospreay, Adam Copeland, Steven Borden, & The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) against the Don Callis Family (Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, Wardlow, Kevin Knight, & Davis & Doyle (Mark Davis & Jake Doyle)) at this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Blood & Guts 2026 show in Jacksonville, Florida.
