Elayna Black on Major Creative Difference Between WWE and TNA

Soundshpere Magazine held a recent interview with TNA talent Elayna Black, former Cora Jade in WWE. One of the topics discussed included Black’s thoughts about the major creative difference between WWE and TNA after spending significant time in both companies.

Black stated that she is grateful for the creative freedom she has in TNA but in WWE “a lot of things are more directed and guided… they kind of have an idea for your character maybe already.”

In comparison to TNA, Black stated:

“I was like, oh, I have to do this all myself now. It puts more pressure on me to create something great and decide who Elayna Black is now in 2026 and for years to come.”

Black also gave her thoughts about her working as a heel for the majority of her wrestling career so far and it being something that she has enjoyed doing.

“Being able to play the bad guy and say the things that maybe you wouldn’t say in real life — I think that’s so much fun.”

Black also gave her thoughts about her recent babyface change in her character in TNA.

“I’m very excited and challenged right now to see who Elayna Black is in this new light. I don’t want to say a blank slate or a fresh start, but something along those lines.”
