Joe Hennig (Curtis Axel) Arrested for DWI After McDonald’s Drive-Thru Incident Update – Hennig Reaches Plea Agreement

As noted before, former WWE wrestler Curtis Axel, real name Joseph Hennig, was arrested on DWI charges this past May following a DUI incident at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Anoka County, Minnesota. Henning was uncooperative with law enforcement when confronted including him being physically combative and refusing to take a breath test.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that Hennig had reached a plea agreement on August 24 based on recent court records.

Johnson reported that as part of the terms of the agreement, Henning pleaded guilty to the charge of DWI – Operating a Motor Vehicle Under The Influence of Alcohol.

The terms also included a charge of Disorderly Conduct – Offensive/Abusive/Boisterous/Noisy/Obscene being held until Hennig has completed probation and other agreed terms of the plea deal.

Johnson reported that the other charges against him involving refusal to submit to chemical test (Breath or test refusal or failure), Obstructing the Legal Process-Lawful Execution Legal Process, having an open bottle of alcohol in his car and failure to stop after an accident to property that did not involve injury were all dismissed.

CMLL Announces Full Field of Participants For CMLL Amazonas Universal 2026 Tournament

CMLL recently announced the full field of competitors for this year’s CMLL Amazonas Universal Championship tournament.

This upcoming tournament will be taking place at their Viernes Espectacular (Super Viernes) show on October 2 at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico.

As noted before, AEW talent PAC, real name Benjamin Satterley, passed away this past Sunday at the age of 40. This past Monday’s CMLL Lunes Clasico show in Puebla, Mexico featured Death Riders member KeMalito paying tribute to Satterley.

This past Sunday’s CMLL Domingo Familiar show at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico featured CMLL officially celebrating their 1,000,000th ticket sold for CMLL events at the venue this year. This was the second time ever in pro wrestling history and the second time ever in CMLL history that a wrestling company managed to sell 1,000,000 tickets for events at a specific venue in a calendar year.

Joe Hendry recently released a new music video titled “If You Don’t Love Joe Hendry” on WWE’s official WWE Music and his official YouTube channels.

Famous actor Dennis Haskins passed away this past Monday at the age of 75. In the entertainment industry, Haskins was most known for his role as Mr. Belding in the Save by the Bell television series. Haskins was notable in wrestling for being the commissioner for the now-defunct Pro Wrestling Syndicate promotion in New Jersey and for his cameo appearances on Zack Ryder’s (Matt Cardona) Z! True Long Island digital series on YouTube.

House of Glory recently announced that Malakai Black will be making an appearance for the company at their Salvation event on October 9 in Jamaica, New York.

HOG also recently announced that Killer Kross will be making an appearance for the company at their Superclash 3 event on November 14 in Brentwood, New York.

NJPW recently announced that Vietnam Pro Wrestling talent Ares will be making his official debut appearance for the company at their Road to King of Pro Wrestling 2026 event on October 12 in Tokyo, Japan.
