Update on Status of WWE’s Crown Jewel 2026 and WrestleMania 43 In Saudi Arabia & Rumor Killer of WWE Considering Moving Both Events Out Of Saudi Arabia

WWE is currently scheduled to be holding this year’s Crown Jewel event on November 7 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This upcoming event’s status in Saudi Arabia is currently uncertain following the United States Department of State issuing an official update this past September to their existing Level 3 travel advisory in regards to Saudi Arabia. Besides Crown Jewel, WWE has also yet to officially announce a date for next year’s WrestleMania 43 event in the country due to issues related to their current plans for the event and the current volatile situation in the Middle East.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that while WWE will need to have contingency plans if the situation in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East gets worse enough to prevent them from traveling, those spoken to within Las Vegas stated that the recent rumors of the city being a backup plan location for WrestleMania 43 are not true.

Those same sources reportedly stated that the city does not have any dates available in April of 2027 that WWE would want to potentially host WrestleMania 43. These same sources reportedly also stated that the city is also currently not able to spend the kind of money they have in the past to bring in WrestleMania 41 and 42.

In regards to the recent talk of WWE not making an announcement that they are moving both Crown Jewel and WrestleMania out of Saudi Arabia, Meltzer reported that WWE officials are very aware of the situation currently affecting Saudi Arabia. Meltzer also reported that WWE officials will not even hint at a potential pullout decision until they have no choice but to officially make it.

Meltzer reported that WWE wants to do both shows in Saudi Arabia because it is a ton of money that would be paid to them to the amount of around $60 million for Crown Jewel and over $100 million for WrestleMania 43.
