During today’s WWE 2014 Q2 earnings report, there was a lot revealed about the WWE Network. The company will start their international roll out following the announcement of 700,000 subscribers today. The Network will be coming to Canada via a new deal with Rogers Communications, and there are new pricing options in the US. Starting in August, you will be able to purchase a month of the Network for $19.99 with no commitment, or you can still get the $9.99 price for the six-month commitment.
People have been wondering if the WWE would ever offer a monthly option, but the fear was offering up the service for so cheap when PPV is factored in. With the company cannibalizing their PPV business in order to start the network, it seems that the $19.99 price tag will be a way to please people that are only interested in the big shows (WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, Summerslam) and not the VOD content the Network offers.
