— Former WCW World and WWF tag team champion Ron Simmons has announced that he will wrestle his last match on Saturday night for Historic Purks International Championship Wrestling. He will do a Q&A session after the show with the first 100 fans who want in, and he has promised that he will answer any and all questions. Ron is set to be inducted to the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame on February 20.
— Awesome Kong and Christy Hemme will also be at the show. Jimmy Rave is scheduled to be there, but he recently suffered a broken nose (having just recovered from a tonsilectomy) and is not yet cleared to wrestle.
— Simmons and Christy Hemme recorded an interview with Project 9-6-1, 96.1FM in Atlanta. During her interview Hemme said she would be involved in various ways. Simmons also did an interview with WGAA 1340AM out of Cedartown. They will be doing a live stream from the event at WGAA.com.
— We will be airing the ‘State of TNA’ address this Tuesday night prior to WZR Radio. We’ll air this as the pre-show/lead-in to the WZR Radio broadcast at 7EST. The pre-show will begin shortly before 6EST. We’ll post a live link here on the site where you can listen live. That ‘State of TNA’ address is an unbelievable must-listen broadcast. There is tons of cussing by Bischoff, Hogan, and Bubba and lots of shooting. Make sure to be here this Tuesday night at 6EST and then join us for WZR Radio at 7EST! We have a MAJOR shocker planned for WZR this week as well. Hint: Voicemails folks… voicemails.
