We noted last week that veteran timekeeper Mark Yeaton was released from WWE due to the ongoing budget cuts. Yeaton had been employed with the company for nearly three decades (30 years). In an update on Yeaton’s release, numerous sources say he was a “Kevin Dunn guy” and most of Dunn’s guys are likely going to be gone as Triple H and Stephanie McMahon gain more power within WWE. There have been issues in the past between Dunn and Triple H despite the fact that they keep things “friendly” in front of WWE crew members and staff. Vince McMahon has always been high on Dunn.
Yeaton is expected to get some kind of severance package following his WWE departure as he’s been there for so long.
For those wondering, there are expected to be additional budget cuts before the next quarterly conference call in October. Budget cuts continue to take place behind-the-scenes and we’ll keep you posted as we hear about them.
