It didn’t take Alberto Del Rio long to find another job. AAA announcer Arturo Rivera posted to Twitter today announced that Del Rio, who was released last week by WWE, will be debuting this Sunday at AAA TripleMania XXII. Previous reports had Del Rio considering a return to AAA once his WWE contract had expired.
TripleMania will air on iPPV opposite SummerSlam. It is believed that Del Rio has a ninety-day no-compete clause, so how the iPPV factor figures into this is not yet known.
