American Wrestling Federation promoter Paul Alperstein, who ran the mid-1990s version of the promotion and appeared as the on-air owner on TV, has passed away at the age of 58. He had been battling multiple sclerosis. He suffered several strokes a few years ago and hadn’t been in good health. He is survived by his father and two sisters.
He lived in Skokie, Illinois and was the sold backer of the promotion when it debuted in 1994 and ran a syndicated TV show in the US.
We would like to give our condolences to his family, friends and fans.
