Update: Why The Rock Is In New York City & Speculation

UPDATE: Welp, this solves the rumors on why The Rock was spotted in New York City today. Keep in mind he’s still in the area so it’s possible he may stop by RAW.

It’s worth noting that there is a lot of speculation within WWE circles that The Rock may appear on this week’s edition of WWE SmackDown. Those who feel this way point to the fact that the show itself was named after a popular Rock catchphrase. To support the claims, many feel WWE will be going all out due to the fact that we’re approaching the SmackDown 15th anniversary and the mass WWE Network subscriptions are coming up (anyone who subscribed on WWE Hall Of Fame Saturday saw their membership expire on Sunday night, while those who signed up on WrestleMania XXX day will have their membership expire tonight (Monday.) Additionally, The Rock tweeted the following today:

ORIGINAL: The Rock is in New York City today. While there is no confirmation he is appearing on RAW, RAW does take place tonight in Brooklyn. It’s very possible that he’s in town for something completely different that doesn’t involve WWE or RAW.

Nonetheless, let the speculation begin … but take this as STRICTLY A RUMOR for now.
