Naofumi Yamamoto, better known to WWE fans as Yoshi Tatsu, returned to New Japan Pro Wrestling at last night’s King of Pro Wrestling event. He came out during AJ Styles’ IWGP World Championship match against Hiroshi Tanahashi to fight off Jeff Jarrett, who was in Styles’ corner. Tanahashi won the match and the title.
It was then announced that Styles and Yamamoto will fight at the November 8 show “Power Struggle”.
Yamamoto started his career in NJPW and was in the same group of people who went on to be some of the promotion’s biggest stars. Commentators at KoPW referenced his time in WWE as Yoshi Tatsu.
