Here is The Honky Tonk Man speaking with Bill Apter in a new interview from the Legends of the Ring show. HTM said that he’s moving toward an in-ring retirement, saying, “I’m trying to transition away from in-ring wrestling because it’s not for me anymore. The young kids do things that death-defying. They do stunt man acts. I’m a wrestler, not a stunt man. That’s not how we should do it. A wrestling event should be like any other movie; it starts off and builds up, and finally we have the big blow-off at the end. That’s the way it should be. And for some reason, every match tries to out-do the other, and I’m in the main event and it’s like ‘what’s this 35-year veteran going to do now?”
