— A report several weeks ago said most WWE developmental talent gets paid in the $24,000 – $25,000 range per year. According to sources, that number is mainly the beginners and some indy guys and the actual average overall pay is closer to $45,000 per year.
Most of the NXT Divas earn $50,000 or more per year, as WWE feels they need more money to pay for their “upkeep.” In addition, several developmental talents got raises when WWE moved the developmental system from Tampa to Orlando last year. Some of the football players start at around $52,000 per year or more, as they’re used to six-figure salaries.
— Former WWE Diva Michelle McCool recently tweeted a photo of herself in a bikini on the beach. If you’re interested, you can click here to view it. How does she look these days?! Let us know! (The Undertaker is one lucky dude!)
— As previously reported, WWE has signed a new five year TV deal with India’s Ten Sports that includes a live tour for next year. According to sources, the live tour is not something that the talent is happy about.
WWE has not toured in India for quite some time. The last tour reportedly went so badly that multiple talents said that they would quit before going on another live tour in India. In addition, payoffs for the tour were said to be minuscule, which apparently did not endear talent to touring there.
Several talents also became very ill during WWE’s last tour in India, including William Regal.
— Despite the fact that Shawne Merriman began training to become a pro wrestler and/or announcer for WWE, even appearing on the WWE Network during WrestleMania XXX weekend earlier this year, the former NFL star is no longer under contract with WWE and has no existing affiliation of any kind with the company as we noted earlier.
