Morrison, who is working as Johnny Mundo in the promotion, says that he chose Lucha Underground over TNA or a WWE return because it appealed to him in terms of the way it combines cinematic aspects with professional wrestling, citing the involvement of Robert Rodriguez and El Rey Network, along with the fact that it is filmed in Los Angeles which allows him to continue his other projects.
