Santino Marella Undergoes ‘Semi-Emergency’ Surgery

UPDATE: Marella has posted the following update to his Facebook page:

ORIGINAL: Santino Marella’s road back to the ring has suffered a detour. Marella, who has been trying to make his way back to an in-ring career with WWE, took to Twitter to post the following:

Well folks bad news, we had semi-emergency surgery today, had to remove all the hardware in my neck, not sure what recovery will entail

Marella announced his retirement in July at a house show due to the number of neck injuries he had suffered but began his road toward a comeback in September. On behalf of everyone here on the website, we send our best wishes to Marella on his recovery.
