— It was announced on this week’s episode of NXT that Sami Zayn’s NXT Championship will be on the line when he battles Kevin Owens at the next live NXT TakeOver special on February 11th. After Kevin Owens refused to sign his contract to fight Zayn because the title was not going to be up for grabs, NXT General Manager William Regal announced that it will be a championship match.
— The NXT #1 Contender’s tournament continued this week, with Baron Corbin defeating Bull Dempsey and Adrian Neville defeating Tyson Kidd to advance. Next week’s episode will feature Neville vs. Corbin and Finn Balor vs. Hideo Itami in the semi-finals. The finals will take place at NXT TakeOver.
