It’s being said that no matter how much fans rally behind Daniel Bryan and no matter how much he gets over, top WWE executives are not going to see him as a top guy that can be the legitimate face of the company.
Before the news surfaced earlier this week that WWE was planning on doing a Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler match at WrestleMania 31 this year, there was talk within WWE that the company would not give in to the fans like they did last year and would not add Bryan to the main event of WrestleMania again. As we’ve reported numerous times here on the website, Vince McMahon has never been a big fan of Bryan and simply doesn’t see him as a “top draw” – point blank. The same goes for Dolph Ziggler. As you’d expect, there are numerous people within the company who roll their eyes at how out of touch Vince is these days.
As things stand right now, there is said to be a working plan for Bryan and Ziggler to open WrestleMania 31.
