— Eric Bischoff announced on iMPACT! that next week, TNA will establish a new system to rank the top contenders to the TNA World championship. While no specifics were given, Bischoff teased that the system would be “unique.” We’ll see what this is all about at tonight’s TV tapings for next week.
— Samoa Joe returned to action on iMPACT! as the mystery teammate in the Team Hogan vs. Team Flair Lockdown rematch. This was Joe’s first TNA appearance since being kidnapped several weeks ago. He returned wearing his old school black and white tights – no gladiator outfit and no facepaint. He scored the win for his team in the tag match and quickly headed to the back, leaving his teammates in the ring.
— On next week’s iMPACT!, Ric Flair will face Abyss in a singles match on next week’s iMPACT! Both of their WWE Hall of Fame Rings will be on the line. The match will be taped tonight from Orlando.
