ABC News is among mainstream media outlets that have picked up on the story of Lisa Marie Varon’s husband Lee dealing with an armed gunman who entered their Squared Circle restaurant.
Lee spoke with the site and said that the intruder told him that he was running from other armed men, which is why he entered their place. He said that he escorted the man to the back initially after being told that but that once the man became combative, he warned him that there would be problems if he brought out a weapon. Lee said he pushed the man up against a sink and heard metal on metal, indicating a weapon, which is when he took the man down.
