RAW News: New GM Quits, Guest Host Concept, Attendance

— As noted earlier, the dark match before Monday’s WWE RAW saw Dos Caras defeat a local wrestler Matthew Justice. Caras cut a heel promo in Spanish before the match, saying he was here to conquer WWE and told the fans in English that if they wanted to know what he said, they needed to learn Spanish.

— Vickie Guerrero was the new General Manager of the RAW brand before she resigned at the end of the night. She was announced by her storyline ex-husband Edge, who said the ruling came from WWE global headquarters. Of course, she took it all back by the end of the night.

–It was also announced that future celebrity guest hosts will no longer have authority over the wrestlers or the power to make matches.

— There were 14,162 fans in attendance at the Mellon Arena Pittsburgh, PA. That was a complete sellout.

— Did John Cena really call Sheamus a human bag of mayonnaise on RAW?!

— REMINDER: The weekly Tuesday night WZR Radio broadcast will be moving from 8-10EST starting this week. The show had been running from 7-9EST weekly so we’re just pushing it back one hour each Tuesday night. The show will begin at 8EST and then lead you in to WWE NXT at 10EST each Tuesday night. The reason for the change is simply because it’s easier for us with the amount of news + ratings that usually come out between 6-7EST on Tuesday’s. I hope this isn’t a big problem for most of you. I know many of you in the UK stay up late to listen to us live. We’ll see you this Tuesday at a new start time of 8EST!
