Vince Russo Announces His Departure From Juggalo Championship Wrestling

Vince Russo announced on Tuesday on Twitter that he has recently departed from Juggalo Championship Wrestling.

Russo stated that the reason for his decision to leave was due to him being unhappy in JCW for a while and he felt something had to change. Russo also stated that another reason was due to his age of 65 years old and him not being the same person he was 30 years ago in the wrestling industry.

Over the past few weeks I have received many e-mails, dms and text messages concerning my status with @jcwlunacy.
For those of you who know me, you know I don’t hide from the truth, I don’t avoid the truth and I certainly don’t lie about the truth. The reason for my silence was that . . . I just didn’t know. I just needed some time. I’d been unhappy for a while in @jcwlunacy and I’m not going to deny that. Something had to change.
Without getting into specifics, there were a lot of reasons with the biggest one being that at 65 . . . I’m not the same guy I was 30 years ago. Things have changed, life has changed and more importantly . . . I’ve changed.
A short while ago I had a phone conversation with Violent J and we have amicably agreed to part ways.
Hey man, it was supposed to be for a few weeks, maybe a couple of months, but we KILLED IT for an entire year.
So now . . . it’s time to move on. What the future holds . . . we shall see.
I’d like to thank Violent J—one of the kindest, gentlest, most creative souls I have ever met in my life, the @jcwlunacy locker room—who treated me with the utmost respect, and the entire crew who worked their ARSES off every day.
Yeah, it was a wild ride . . . but, now . . . maybe I can finally take that nap.

Prior to his announcement, Russo had been with JCW since October of 2025 as an investor and lead creative writer.

Rob Van Dam Provides Update on His In-Ring Wrestling Career Future

A recent episode of the 1 Of A Kind podcast featured WWE Hall of Famer and ECW legend Rob Van Dam providing an update on the future of his in-ring wrestling career.

During a recent episode of his podcast, RVD gave an update on his wrestling future.

“Thank goodness that I don’t have anything because I don’t think anything’s coming my way. You know what I mean? I don’t expect it to.
I very likely might have three, maybe four matches between now and the end of the year, going at the speed that I’m going now. I’m okay with that. Am I expecting a run to come along, like with one of the companies? No. Is it possible? Yes.
I feel like I don’t expect anything to come my way. So, if I did have something, if I was like obsessed with, ‘I gotta be a tag team champion again,’ whatever my goal would be, if that’s something I got to do, I think I would be disappointed because I don’t think that’s probably going to happen. It could, but I don’t expect it to, and I just live in the now.”

RVD has been wrestling since 1990.

Pro Wrestling NOAH announced that Katsumi Inahata had suffered a dislocated shoulder injury at Tuesday’s N-1 Victory 2026 event in Hamamatsu and has been pulled from tonight’s N-1 Victory event in Tokyo, Japan as a result.

All Japan Pro Wrestling recently announced that Cal Bloom, former Von Wagner in WWE, will be making his official debut for the company at October 22nd event in Tokyo, Japan. It was also announced that Bloom was revealed as the newest member of the HAVOC stable.

Tuesday’s AJPW Royal Road 2026 event featured Ryuki Honda defeating Yuma Aoyagi in the Finals to become the winner of this year’s Royal Road tournament. As a result of his victory, Honda will be challenging Kento Miyhara for the AJPW Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship at AJPW’s October 22nd event in Tokyo.

NJPW announced that they had pulled Taichi from their Battle Line Hokkaido Road To Destruction 2026 event on Tuesday BATTLE LINE HOKKAIDO ～Road to DESTRUCTION in Obihiro, Japan due to him dealing with an illness.

Indies talent Leah Sparks, real name LeeAnn Ball, announced that she recently suffered a serious neck injury that resulted in her breaking both sides of her C2 and dislocating the right side. Ball recently launched a GoFundMe fundraiser to help financially assist with her medical bills and rehab while she is away from her wrestling career for a significant amount of time.

WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter recently announced that he will be launching a new podcast called “That’s An Order” on September 23 on YouTube.
