As noted earlier and despite rumors to the contrary, top Ring Of Honor stars The Briscoes are not expected to sign with WWE at any point in the near future. There was some talk that The Briscoes could be heading to NXT soon, however that does not appear to be the case.
Two current ROH talents that are expected to make the jump to WWE, as previously reported, are Jimmy Jacobs and Samoa Joe. Jacobs recently signed a deal to join the WWE creative team, while Joe is expected to sign with the company in April.
As things stand now, the plan is for Samoa Joe’s ROH run to wrap up after his match at the promotion’s event during WrestleMania 31 weekend in Redwood City, California.
This explains why Joe has not been advertised for ROH’s upcoming events in San Antonio or Minnesota.
Joe is also expected to finish his currently advertised independent bookings in April before joining WWE, likely as part of NXT.
