Original Plans For The NXT WrestleMania Tournament Revealed

Hideo Itami won the NXT tournament for a spot in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal, but it was a last minute decision.

The original plan was for Finn Balor or Adrian Neville to go over. When the match was moved to the pre-show, the decision was changed to Itami. He was selected to tie him into Tatsumi Fujinami going into the WWE Hall of Fame, as there were a lot of Japanese media in town covering Fujinami.
