— Contrary to reports stating Maria Kanellis has been negotiating with TNA Wrestling officials, the former WWE Diva said in a recently filmed “shoot” interview with Highspots that while she has received overtures from people affiliated with the organization, she has not had any official conversation or offer. As stated in previous interviews, she has not, however, ruled out joining the promotion in the future.
— As reported earlier, TNA president Dixie Carter and Jeremy Borash attended Mickie James’ country music album release party in Nashville last week. Friends of the recently released WWE Diva indicate she’s not looking to do anything wrestling related for the time being as she is concentrating on her burgeoning country music career. It’s also being said that she doesn’t discuss wrestling much anymore amongst those close to her, however, that will likely come to pass. Nonetheless, Carter is said to be very interested in acquiring James as she is expected to offer her a deal once her ninety-day no-compete clause with WWE expires in July.
