On Monday’s edition of WWE RAW, which took place in Oklahoma City, WWE United States Champion John Cena suffered an injury during the main event.
The headline bout of the evening saw Cena defend his WWE U.S. title against the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. During the latter portion of the match, Rollins caught Cena with a legitimate knee to the face that busted Cena’s nose badly.
The nose was so badly broken that the announcers were forced to acknowledge it on the air, as they used it to sell the drama and physicality of the match, and pointing out how tough and durable Cena is as United States Champion. JBL said twice during the main event that Cena was one “tough son of a bitch.”
Below is footage of the spot where Cena suffered the injury.
