— There were numerous no-shows at this past weekend’s K&S Wrestlefest in Carteret, NJ. Tomko missed due to an ankle injury, Eric Embry missed due to a traffic accident, The Bezerker John Nord never got on his flight, Killer Tim Brooks dropped out with no notice, and Jose Lothario and Ashley Massaro did not appear for reasons unknown at this time. The promoters substituted Jerry Lawler, Savio Vega, Chris and Mark Youngblood, and Dick Slater, who were there as vendors, to their VIP package, but there was reportedly a lot of confusion at the event due to the promoters not properly announcing no-shows and changes to the event. Former WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James was said to be the top draw of the weekend.

— Here is the official guest list for Greg Price’s NWA Legends Fanfest in Charlotte, NC, which takes place in August: Skandor Akbar, The Assassin, Tony Atlas, Joe Blanchard, Tully Blanchard, Jerry Brisco, Jerry Brown, Bob Caudle, Ted Dibiase Sr., Dory Funk Jr., Terry Funk, Danny Hodge, Sir Oliver Humperdink, Rocky Johnson, Kamala, Sonny King, Mr. Wrestling II, Nikita Koloff, Reggie Parks, Harley Race, Buddy Roberts, Billy Robinson, Jim Ross, Tommy Seigler, Dan “The Beast” Severn, Les Thatcher, Greg Valentine, and Tommy Young.
