Ring of Honor posted the following statement and tribute video following the death of Roddy Piper on Friday at the age of 61:

We at Ring of Honor are extremely shocked and saddened at the sudden passing of the legendary “Rowdy” Roddy Piper.

A true icon in professional wrestling, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper was a silent adviser to many, passing on his invaluable wisdom. An amazing man who will be missed by those who were lucky enough to work with or get to know him.

We extend our sincerest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of “Rowdy” Roddy Piper.
