UPDATE: During his appearance on Tough Enough on Tuesday night, John Cena revealed that he will step in the ring at SummerSlam to face Seth Rollins in the “Winner Take All” champion vs. champion match.
Cena’s status had been in question due to his recovery from surgery to fix his broken nose suffered a couple of weeks ago on Raw.
ORIGINAL: According to sources, WWE has a backup plan in place in case John Cena can’t face Seth Rollins at SummerSlam. Cena is still out of action after getting surgery to fix the broken nose he suffered two weeks ago on RAW.
According to the source, if Cena is not medically cleared to compete against Rollins at SummerSlam by next week, the backup plan is to have Rollins face Randy Orton and Sheamus in a triple threat match. If Cena is able to compete, Orton vs. Sheamus will likely be added to the pay-per-view as a singles match
