As noted on Monday evening, Sting vs. Seth Rollins at WWE Night Of Champions will be for Rollins’ WWE World Heavyweight Championship, however there is some confusion regarding what will happen with his WWE United States Championship.
According to sources, Vince McMahon has not signed off on Rollins defending his WWE United States Championship at Night Of Champions yet. Also, Rollins is expected to pull double-duty that night, defending his U.S. title in one match, and his WWE World Heavyweight title against Sting.
It’s worth pointing out that the current angle involving Rollins as a double-champion and the rumors that he will be pulling double-duty is similar to what was just done recently in Ring Of Honor with ROH World Champion and ROH TV Champion Jay Lethal.
