WWE SmackDown Rating Drops To A New Low – Details

Thursday night’s episode of WWE SmackDown fell to a ratings low. The episode brought in just 1.981 million viewers and a 0.52 rating in the 19 – 49 demographic, which is down 10% and 20% respectively from last week’s 2.195 million and 0.65 demo rating. This is the lowest rating and viewership for an original run of SmackDown yet. The December 19th, 2014 episode had 1.995 million viewers and a 0.51 demo rating, but that was a replay of a Tuesday live airing and aired close to Christmas which is traditionally known as a very low ratings time.

SmackDown was definitely hit by college football, which scored the top three positions of the night among cable originals (each with over a 1.0 rating). SmackDown ranked eighth among cable originals for the night.
