Backstage Update – Season Two Of Lucha Underground Planned

UPDATE: Not so fast. After Lucha Underground co-executive producer Chris DeJoseph said that Alberto El Patron will be part of the promotion’s second season, El Patron took to Twitter to deny the news:

We reached out to DeJoseph again, who clarified, “We haven’t set our schedule.”

ORIGINAL: Alberto El Patron is officially confirmed for the second season of Lucha Underground. Co-executive producer Chris DeJoseph says that El Patron will be part of the second season.

DeJoseph said he did not yet know whether Rey Mysterio will be involved in the new season. El Rey officially announced the second season last night; it will film during the fourth quarter of the year and premiere in early 2016.
