— The Middletown Republican Town Committee conducted a Iowa like straw poll last night that saw Linda McMahon get 106 votes, 46 for Peter Schiff and 34 for Rob Simmons.

— Another story on the election noted that Linda McMahon spent $4.3 million to $836,000 for Richard Blumenthal over the past three months. It noted that McMahon spent more money on tote bags and balloons with her names on them then Blumenthal spent for his campaign manager. Finally, the story states that ghostwriter (claiming to be McMahon) that ran McMahon’s Twitter and Facebook, was paid $7,021 over the same period.

— Bret Hart and his new wife Stephanie Washington were supposed to go to Hawaii for their honeymoon, but Hart may be at the RAW tapings tonight, since they are doing a double taping.

— Shawn Michaels is not backstage at RAW. With WWE being in San Antonio, many thought he would guest host the show, but that was never announced.
