Shannon Royal told the site that she tried to buy tickets for her son’s twelfth birthday directly off the main website but got confirmation from a website called OnlineCityTickets.com. She received tickets from Tickemaster but was told on the day of the show that tickets with the same bar code had already been scanned. She paid $200 for the tickets.
Royal spoke with OnlineCityTickets and they apologized and said to call back in the morning but didn’t give an explanation or a refund. She eventually received a credit. A WWE spokesperson said they do not sell tickets through OnlineCityTickets.com and said they are looking into the matter, issuing this statement:
“The arena box office and Ticketmaster are the safest, most secure and only authorized destinations to purchase tickets for WWE events at Talking Stick Resort Arena.”
