On last night’s edition of iMPACT! Wrestling, Ethan Carter III defeated Matt Hardy to become the TNA World Champion. It was previously reported that the semifinals and finals were taped, with Lashley defeating Matt Hardy in the finals.
Those were in fact the original plans, but TNA made a change in the creative direction and dumped those taped matches.
