TNA is trying to do some restructuring of their talent contracts in order to allow them to control outside bookings. The WON reports that new contracts are being offered to top-level talent that include guaranteed money instead of the per-appearance pay structure that has been common. One talent with a big push planned for this year was offered $60,000.
The contracts would allow talent to work indy shows but would require promoters to go through TNA to book the televised talents. TNA told talent that they plan to get much more aggressive in merchandising later on this year.
Karl Anderson was offered a $200,000 contract but he turned them down in favor of WWE.
