It appears we won’t be seeing Jimmy Snuka’s third-degree murder trial commence any time soon. The trial has delayed once again after a hearing regarding Snuka’s mental competency was pushed to May 30th. The hearing was intended to determine if Snuka was mentally fit to stand trial on charges of involuntary manslaughter and third-degree murder in the May 1983 death of girlfriend Nancy Argentino.
The delay of the hearing is in order to allow the mental health experts examining Snuka sufficient time to determine his competency, including whether he understands the charges against him and whether he can stand trial. Snuka’s lawyer claims the WWE Hall of Famer has post-concussion and dementia.
