As previously reported, Kota Ibushi appeared on camera at the WWE NXT Takeover event and WWE.com even published an article on his appearance. According to Dave Meltzer, it’s not been confirmed that Ibushi has agreed to a deal with WWE or NXT.
Ibushi will likely be a part of more than just the WWE Global Cruiserweight Series, which the WWE.com article hinted Ibushi could participate in.
In addition, it should be known within a week if Ricochet, aka Prince Puma in Lucha Underground, will be heading to WWE or not. Ricochet is currently holding the IWGP jr. heavyweight tag team titles with Matt Sydal. Ricochet’s current Lucha Underground contract reportedly states he’s allowed to leave the company after the third season of the show airs on TV. And it would apparently be very easy to write him off the show after the last set of Lucha Underground TV tapings.
