Backstage Update – Was Sami Zayn Injured On RAW Last Night?

There were several reports on some websites this morning that Sami Zayn may have been injured during last night’s WWE RAW broadcast. The reports said that when Zayn came off the top on Owens, he landed awkwardly and the camera quickly cut away. Zayn then ran to the back clutching his shoulder and was removed from the main event after a backstsge segment where Owens attacked him. Of course, Cesaro came out as his replacement.

In an update on this, Zayn’s injuries last night were simply a part of the storyline to get Cesaro into the main event as a surprise. Zayn and Owens are expected to continue feuding.
