According to sources, there has reportedly been no contact between Ryback and WWE. Vince McMahon sent him home after they had issues negotiating a new deal, with the feeling that WWE will either have him sit out his contract or release him.
Unless there is a change of heart regarding the demands he made (“a significantly higher guarantee than he was offered, as well as a number of stipulations, one of which was said to be a deal breaker”), they would end the relationship and he would be free to work elsewhere.
The Wrestling Observer notes, “it wouldn’t surprise anyone to see an announcement that he’s released at any time.”
